Last week we said farewell to osteo Bryan. Bryan is off to work in Corporate Health and we wish him well in his blossoming career. It was great to send him off well with a ski trip with Jeff and myself last weekend. We will certainly miss his presence and I personally will miss cooking up a storm together at our weekly team dinners.

Yesterday Bryan competed in the 2XU Triathlon series in Melbourne. His team relay won 🥇 in their category (mixed) and came 2nd 🥈overall! Awesome effort 💪

🏃Our very own Osteo Bryan completed the Tokyo Marathon last weekend. We are super proud of his efforts and dedication! Here's what he had to say about the experience:

What a day! Tokyo Marathon marks the one-year anniversary of my running journey. From my first race, a 5K in Ballarat, to now completing my first official marathon-and my first World Major Marathon-it's been an incredible ride. Proud to earn my first star on this journey!

The weather was a bit warmer than expected, but I felt strong in the first half. My race was going well until around 25K, when everything changed. A cramp hit me hard, and I tried to keep running, thinking I could shake it off. But instead, my legs completely locked up, and before I knew it, I collapsed to the ground. At that moment, I genuinely thought my race was over. I got emotional, thinking I might have to DNF because I physically couldn't stand.

After what felt like forever, I managed to get back on my feet. I tried to pick up the pace again, but every time I pushed, my legs would spasm or lock up, nearly making me trip multiple times. It was frustrating and painful, but I kept moving forward.

The crowd and volunteers were incredible. The support from the Japanese spectators was on another level-people were checking on me, and some even handed out muscle sprays to help with the pain. Having my mom there as a supporter made this experience even more special. Knowing she was cheering for me kept me motivated, even when things got tough.

I also want to thank everyone who tracked my run and sent messages of support online! Knowing people were following my journey, even from afar, meant so much and gave me that extra push when I needed it. I'm truly grateful for all the encouragement.

I didn't hit my goal time, but I'm not disappointed. This race was an experience-a learning opportunity. Every run teaches me something, and this marathon was no different.

Also, I met some amazing people during the expo and the race! Looking forward to seeing some of you guys at the next one.

Now, time to recover-came out of this with a few new bruised toes, and at the moment, I'm waddling like a penguin around Japan. But honestly? Totally worth it.
