smile together Eat.Move.Smile. is a program supported by the Health Promotion Department of Swan Hill District Health.

We are working towards the highest levels of health and happiness for the Swan Hill and surrounding community by providing information on all aspects of health. Our 3 key priority areas for promotion are:

EAT fruit & veg
MOVE more often
SMILE together

These areas target the key messages from current Health Promotion Plan of Swan Hill District Health under promoting healthy lifestyles with a focus on nutrition, oral health, physical activity, inclusion, participation and equity. The program has been running since 2013 and aims to provide the best and most up to date information on health living programs and knowledge to educate and support the Swan Hill and District community. Based in Swan Hill we aim to keep as much of our information as local as possible while sharing reputable information sources across the country and the globe. All information contained on this page is general in nature and for personalised care and recommendations on individual circumstances we recommend you visit your local GP or relevant health service. Little hands, big creativity! 🎨🌱🌻
This week, our Health Promotion team joined the Child & Family Hub playgroup to paint wooden flowers β€” with the kids leading the way as our resident artists.
These colourful creations will become part of a brand-new edible garden, planting in early 2026, and we can’t wait to watch it grow together 🌱
A huge thank you to the Swan Hill District Health District Health Social Support Men’s Shed for crafting & donating the wooden flowers, and to our amazing young painters for bringing them to life.
We’re so excited to be partnering with Mallee Family Care amilycare Supported Playgroups and Swan Hill Rural City Council ruralcitycouncil Maternal Child Health teams to make this garden bloom at the Family & Child Hub πŸ’š
