🚧NEW UPDATE: Front Driveway Ramp Closure🚧

From today, Monday 24 November 2025 until Wednesday 26 November at around 10.00 am, the front driveway ramp to the Hospital on Splatt Street will not be accessible to vehicles due to works occurring. There will be pedestrian access from the north of the ramp but no vehicle access. Flagging and bollards will be in place.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

⚠Please note: This update replaces our previous footpath closure and ramp closure notifications published 20.11.2025. There will be pedestrian access.

Join us as our community comes together on Tuesday 25 November to launch the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and take part in the Walk Against Family Violence from 11.00 am. Commencing at the Corner of Rutherford Street and Campbell Street – along Campbell Street – to the Swan Hill Town Hall PACC.

Did you know that Swan Hill ranks 5th out of 79 Local Government Areas in Victoria for the highest rates of family violence, a shocking statistic that cannot be ignored.

Swan Hill Rural City Council is calling on the community to join the annual Walk Against Family Violence on Tuesday, 25 November at 11am, marking the beginning of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

The Age recently reported “violence against nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers in Victoria has reached unprecedented levels”, with our state reporting a whopping 24,000 violent incidents last year, a 20% rise!

Whilst there is a lot of work to be done in this area, we can start leading the way right here in Swan Hill, our healthcare workers work tirelessly to care for the community, often under immense pressure. They deserve respect and safety in their workplace.

We will not tolerate abuse, aggression or violence towards our staff- ever. Please remember: kindness and respect saves lives too 💙
