Twice a year our medical students get the opportunity to attend a Skin Cancer workshop with Dr Kelada, where they are provided with an introduction to skin cancer medicine and skin cancer surgery.

This allows our students the hands on experience to better understand biopsy’s and learn stitching techniques, supporting them to deliver the highest standard of care well into their future as Doctors here and wherever they may go!

Please be advised that the front entry access to Kapel Telkuna will be unavailable next week between Monday 23rd and Friday 27th March due to council works taking place out the front of the building.

Access is available through the side gate (McCrae Street) and into the back of the building instead where you will find the team still providing the amazing service you are used to and if you have questions give them a call- 03 5033 9323 🔴⚫🟡

Make your own health check schedule with your doctor if you have an ongoing condition or a higher risk of a condition due to family history. If you have any symptoms at any time, see your doctor immediately.

Mammograms through BreastScreen Australia remain available, though routine invitations usually stop after age 74.

Cervical screening may continue for some women with previous abnormal results.
Cognitive health checks and regular medication reviews are also recommended.
Bowel Cancer screening programs continue until age 74.

Yearly skin checks help detect early skin cancer.
