This pregnancy has gone super fast and definitely different running after a toddler ๐Ÿ˜…

Sitting and sleeping habits are so important for our spinal health and posture ๐Ÿช‘๐Ÿ›Œ

How often do you find yourself waking up stiff and sore? Especially if youโ€™ve been away and forgotten your pillow ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Ideally we recommend side sleeping on a firm mattress with a thick supportive pillow. have designed an amazing affordable mattress, you can even change the pillow top to suit you and your partner. The pillows are adjustable so you can find the perfect height for your body๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

When sitting aim to have your hips above your knees, wedges are great for your office chair and car seat to create a good angle so your body doesnโ€™t collapse into a slump dog ๐Ÿ˜†

Hip hip hooray itโ€™s nearly the holidays! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅ‚

This time of year the old pelvis (and the spine) tends to get loaded up more than usualโ€ฆhours of shopping, lifting, house work, gardening, cooking, long drives, holding the grandkids, different beds, sitting around, more alcohol and food, not to mention it can be stressful.

On top of that, when we take a break is usually when we notice symptoms more as our bodyโ€™s get a chance to heal after a big year.

Hereโ€™s a few tips that may helpโ€ฆ
- Lift well, use your legs and hinge at the hips
- Split heavy bags up and carry one on each side
- Sit on a folded up towel in the car
- Take your pillow away with you
- Keep active, go for a walk after a big lunch or drive
- Do some gentle side bend stretches
- Use an ice and/or heat pack as needed
- Keep up the water intake (beer doesnโ€™t count ๐Ÿ˜‚)
- Take some deep belly breaths
- Have an epsom salt bath

Iโ€™m so grateful to have had such a beautiful pregnancy and a great team of health providers who helped me keep strong, balanced, aligned and functioning well! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Iโ€™m a big advocate of self care and like to practice what I preach (as much as possible ๐Ÿ˜œ)
