Hip hip hooray itโs nearly the holidays! ๐ฅณ๐๐

This time of year the old pelvis (and the spine) tends to get loaded up more than usualโฆhours of shopping, lifting, house work, gardening, cooking, long drives, holding the grandkids, different beds, sitting around, more alcohol and food, not to mention it can be stressful.
On top of that, when we take a break is usually when we notice symptoms more as our bodyโs get a chance to heal after a big year.
Hereโs a few tips that may helpโฆ
- Lift well, use your legs and hinge at the hips
- Split heavy bags up and carry one on each side
- Sit on a folded up towel in the car
- Take your pillow away with you
- Keep active, go for a walk after a big lunch or drive
- Do some gentle side bend stretches
- Use an ice and/or heat pack as needed
- Keep up the water intake (beer doesnโt count ๐)
- Take some deep belly breaths
- Have an epsom salt bath
