Hello to all the new faces in this community šŸ‘‹

I am so glad you are here & considering the hormonal piece when it comes to your gut issues which is often overlooked!

This group exists because perimenopause does something very specific to your gut & most women ( and doctors) don't connect the two!! That's exactly what we're here to change.

To kick things I'd love to know where you're at right now... what's bothering you this week ?? Is it a gut symptoms? Is it food? Is it you're uncomfortable in you're own body? Drop it in the comments šŸ‘‡ I read every single one ā¤ļø

Bloating and unpredictable poops can quietly start to become your whole identity without you even realising it.

So today I want to ask:

Finish this sentence: "I feel most like myself when ___"

Not "when my symptoms are manageable." Just + who are YOU when you feel like you?

Because that person hasn't gone anywhere. She's just waiting. ā¤ļø

Story time

20 years of chronic constipation.
10 days without going.
Planning her entire life around her next e***a.

My client Rose had tried everything....and still had no answers.

This is the story of what changed when we stopped eliminating and started nourishing and filling in her nutritional gaps.

If you've ever thought "maybe this is just how it is for me" - this one's for you.

Drop GUT in the comments & I'll reach out personally ā¤ļø

Here's something that doesn't get talked about enough:

Your gut microbiome has estrogen receptors.

When oestrogen declines in perimenopause, it disrupts the diversity of your gut bacteria - which then affects how you metabolise hormones, how much inflammation you carry, and yes, how your digestion functions.

This is why cutting out more foods isn't usually the answer. You don't need fewer foods. You need a microbiome that can handle more.

Does this change how you think about your symptoms? I want to know your thoughts. šŸ‘‡

Can I be honest with you?

I've talked to hundreds of women who've been managing their IBS for years - and then perimenopause hit and suddenly nothing worked anymore.

And the worst part isn't the symptoms. It's the loneliness of feeling like your body betrayed you and no one has answers. Not even your doctor.

That's exactly why this community exists.

You are not alone. And you are not out of options.

If you're in that place right now, just drop a ā¤ļø in the comments. I see you.

MYTH: IBS just gets worse as you get older and there's nothing you can do.

TRUTH: The hormonal shifts of perimenopause throw your gut out of balance — but when you address BOTH your hormones and gut together, that's when things start to shift.

Here's what most people miss: declining oestrogen and progesterone reduce stomach acid production and slow gut motility. That's not aging. That's hormones.

Which means it's fixable.

What other myths about IBS in midlife have you been told?

Drop them below and I'll bust them one by one. šŸ’Ŗ

Monday Reframe

You don't need to have everything figured out.
You just need to take one step that supports your gut-hormone connection today.

Maybe that's eating breakfast within an hour of waking.

Maybe it's choosing a softer fibre source when you're in an active flare

Maybe it's adding a bit more protein to your meal to balance your blood sugars.

One step. That's it.

What's yours going to be? Tell me below. I'll cheer you on šŸ‘‡

Something I want you to sit with today:

Your body is not broken.

It is navigating one of the most significant hormonal transitions of your life, and it is doing the best it can with the support it has.

The overthinking every meal, the fear around food, the exhaustion of trying to decode your own symptoms — that is not weakness. That is what happens when you've been managing something without understanding the full picture.

You deserve the full picture.

Send this to a friend who needs to hear this today. šŸ’›

She said to me: "I managed my IBS for 15 years. And then I turned 43 and it's like my body forgot everything I taught it."

I hear this almost every week.

The rules changed. Not because you did anything wrong - because your hormones shifted and took your gut microbiome with them.

Managing IBS at 43 is a completely different game than managing it at 28. And it's okay to need a new approach.

Can you relate? Drop a ā¤ļø if this sounds like your story.
