April marks Stress Awareness Month...

Now, whether you like it or not, there are a hell of a lot of awareness months. And while you might get sick of it—I get you—it looks very different when you're on the receiving end

For me, my stress journey started when I was really young. It manifested in mood swings, but there was more...

My gut just didn’t work. Of course, back then, the idea of your gut controlling your mood and vice versa was laughable.
Fortunately, today my health is back on track, and at nearly 50, my life is much healthier and happier than before.

So, what changed?

A few things, but perhaps the biggest shift was the inner work I did on myself.

I know nobody likes to hear this stuff. It sounds naff to some, but until you’re deep in the trouble, the pain, and the torture, it’s very easy to ignore.
So, if you’re someone who has tried to get help with little success, try again. Or even have a chat with me.

P.S. We also have things backwards...

We have this idea that everything is fixed from the outside in. But the reality is, it’s the inside out.

Mental Health is something that gets little exposure and whilst it is getting more now... it is still not enough.

As someone, albeit a women I was plagued with mental health issues from a young age.

I was given countless different drugs.. but it wasn't till I discovered through my own research and university study the integral link between the digestive system

Your gut houses trillions of bacteria that produce mood enhancing (and not enhancing) chemicals however modern medicine still can neglect this area of health.

This is heartbreaking because not only is it something we all have the power to control though lifestyle choices because of the lack of attention it gets we often miss it

Whether you realise it or not, your performance is directly shaped by your beliefs... and here's the kicker... you get to chose + shape your beliefs...

I know because my belief systems were shot!

I wasn't enough, clever enough, young enough, slim enough, pretty enough...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

The truth was it was MY reality not THE reality...

but it was from that belief I showed up

➡️ If you’re nervous, you perform from that anxious frame.
➡️ If you’re tired, you operate from a place of lethargy.

but here is the kicker that you may not be aware of —or perhaps have forgotten:

Your beliefs are not set in stone. You GET to DECIDE them

➡️ Imagine replacing “I am not enough” with “I am capable.”
➡️ Imagine changing “I don’t know enough” to “I can always learn.”

Adversity is truly what unlocks our superpowers. It’s through challenges that we are forced to reach our fullest potential. Nothing worthwhile comes from things being easy – growth only comes from embracing difficulty.

Each challenge we face is an opportunity to ask ourselves, "What is this teaching me, and how is it growing me?"

For me my challenges have and still pushed me to seek support, help and guidance... along with forcing me to develop and learn more skills.

This is why I have coaches + mentors so that everything I do I can use to my advantage and enrich my life and business.

I have overcome my own mental + physical health struggles... but it it wasnt for those challenges I could not have the strategies to empower others.

I teach individuals to learn from my pain and mistakes so they don't have to.

The key is to change your mindset and recognise adversity as an essential part of personal and professional development.

0 years of age and my son's drive to perform is incredible.

But while driving him around five times a week, spending thousands on coaching and training is certainly part of the journey, I constantly remind him that having an optimal system is what will truly get him over the line.

Mindset, nutrition, and recovery are non-negotiables.
