During this summer a quick tip from CPR kids to avoid heat rash on bubs and young children.

H E A T R A S H

Also known as sweat rash, 'prickly heat', or miliaria. It is common (especially in current weather conditions) and easy to treat!

If you are ever concerned about a rash, always seek medical advice.

Read more here ~ https://raisingchildren.net.au/guides/a-z-health-reference/heat-rash

[Image description: An image in the background shows behind a child's ear and neck, where heat rash has developed. Text reads: To prevent heat rash - avoid dressing bub in too many layers, and opt for light cotton clothing. Dry their skin thoroughly after baths, and keep their hair tied up.
If a heat rash develops - make sure they stay cool and avoid getting sweaty. A lukewarm bath (with no soap) can provide comfort.]

This study was brought to light by a couple whom had no known family history of genetic conditions. Who then sadly had a baby with a rare inherited genetic condition. This couple's aim for this study is to make Couple's Genetic Screening available as a routine screen for preconception or early pregnancy, so that couples would not have to go through what they had to go through.

If your results come back low risk, then there's no further consultation needed.
If your results comes back as high risk, then there is Government funded consultation available to explain and go through your results.

Preconception or early pregnancy appointments available to discuss further about Couple's genetic carrier screening. Very simple swab test.

Book with myself or Jane Palmer.

Easy to book appointments, choose a time that suits you.
