10 years ago, I realised many elderly people were missing out on quality physiotherapy—simply because they couldn’t attend a clinic.

We decided to bring care to them—right at home.

A recent discussion with a community aged care provider highlighted the need to shine a light on this important issue.

With over 900,000 Indian-born Australians and more than 57,700 seniors aged 65+, the Indian-origin community is one of Australia’s fastest-growing multicultural groups. Unfortunately, many seniors face declining mobility and balance issues — and falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalisations for older adults, with 1 in 3 seniors experiencing a fall each year. Most of these are preventable with early intervention.
