How often should pets be dewormed?

Internal parasites don’t always show obvious signs, but they can seriously affect your pet’s health, and even pose a risk to the whole family.

👉 There’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

The ideal deworming frequency depends on your pet’s:
✔️ Age
✔️ Lifestyle (indoor vs. outdoor)
✔️ Environment
✔️ Health status

That’s why an annual deworming plan created by your veterinarian is essential.

Your vet will design a personalised schedule that ensures continuous protection throughout the year, adapting treatments as your pet’s needs change.

✔️ Prevents digestive issues
✔️ Protects long-term health
✔️ Reduces zoonotic risks
✔️ Gives you peace of mind

💬 When was the last time your pet’s deworming plan was reviewed?
An annual check-up can make all the difference, prevention always starts with your vet. 🩺❤️

They didn’t choose to be left behind… but we can choose to help. 🐾
Every abandoned animal has a story that deserves a second chance. Here are 5 simple ideas that can truly change a life:
✨ 1. Adopt or foster
Opening your home, even temporarily, can be the difference between loneliness and love.
🍽️ 2. Donate food or supplies
A full bowl means comfort, strength, and hope for tomorrow.
🕒 3. Volunteer your time
Walks, cuddles, cleaning, or just being there. Your presence matters more than you think.
📣 4. Use your voice
Sharing adoption posts or rescue stories helps animals find families faster. One share can save a life.
💉 5. Support responsible care
Veterinary care and prevention protect them today and prevent suffering tomorrow.
They’re not invisible. They’re waiting.
Which one will you choose to help today?

Valentine’s Day reminds us of all kinds of love… ❤️
But there’s one that asks for nothing and gives everything in return. 🐾

It’s the love that waits for you at the door.
The one that senses your bad days and stays closer.
The one that doesn’t care how you look, what you have, or how late you come home.

Our animals love us without conditions.
Without expectations.
Without limits.

They are always there: loyal, pure, and real.
And honestly… that kind of love is priceless.

This Valentine’s Day, celebrate the ones who love you every single day of the year.
Because love for our animals is the best kind of love 🐶🐱

💬 Tell us: who is your forever Valentine with paws?

Interesting facts about the Cornish Rex cat 🐱

If you are attracted to cats that are different, elegant and have a lot of history, the Cornish Rex has a lot to tell. Here are some interesting facts that make it unique 👇

✨ An almost fairy-tale origin
It all began in the 1950s in Cornwall (England), when a kitten was born with curly hair due to a spontaneous genetic mutation. His name was Kallibunker, and he was the starting point for the entire breed.

✨ A breed that almost disappeared
In its early days, the Cornish Rex was on the verge of extinction. To save the breed, controlled crossbreeding was carried out with domestic cats and other breeds such as the Siamese, which helped to fix the curly hair gene.

✨ Velvety coat
It only retains its undercoat, which gives it that wavy, short and ultra-soft coat, very different from any other cat.

✨ Always looking for warmth
Its metabolism is higher and, as it has little hair, it tends to feel warmer to the touch and constantly seeks sources of heat: blankets, sofas or your lap.

✨ Athletic body
Slim, muscular and flexible, with long legs and large ears that give it an unmistakable look. It looks fragile, but it is agile and strong.

📌 Quick facts about the Cornish Rex

• Origin: England (Cornwall)
• Weight males: 2.5–4.5 kg
• Weight females: 2.5–3.5 kg
• Life expectancy: 12–15 years

A breed with a fascinating history and an unmistakable appearance.

Understanding dog allergies 🐶

Did you know your dog’s immune system can overreact to things that aren’t actually harmful, like pollen, dust, or even their food? That’s what we call an allergy.

🥩 Food allergies often come from animal proteins but also from whole cereals.

🌿 Non-food allergies (dust, mites, pollen, grass, flea bites) are even more common, and many dogs have both.

🚨 Common symptoms to watch for:

• Itching, scratching & excessive licking
• Red, inflamed skin or hair loss
• Frequent skin or ear infections
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Bloating and excess gas

Remember that every dog is unique.

👉 Always consult your vet if you think your dog might be suffering from allergies.

The mini first aid kit for your dog or cat 🐱🐶

Although you are surely always mindful of your best friend's safety, sometimes adventures with our furry friends can lead to minor scares, and just in case, it is best to always be prepared.

Do you already have a first aid kit at home? Don't worry, we'll help you put one together with the essentials for treating your pets in case of minor accidents. Take note!

✅ Saline solution. For cleaning eyes, wounds or removing dirt.
✅ Sterile gauze, adhesive tape and bandages: Ideal for cleaning small wounds, controlling minor bleeding or covering any area that needs protection.
✅ Round-tipped scissors. For cutting bandages or things caught in fur without risk.
✅ Neutral soap and antiseptic suitable for pets. Consult your vet about which products you can use to wash and disinfect your pet's wounds.
✅ Antibiotic and healing ointment. Your vet can advise you on which ones to always have at home.
✅ Tweezers. In case you need to remove a burr, a splinter, or even a tick.
✅ Disposable gloves. For handling wounds or any other situation that may arise, such as cleaning the hair around the a**l area in case of diarrhoea, always maintaining hygiene.
✅ Thermometer. If you notice your pet is feeling unwell, it is important to take their temperature. Remember that this is done rectally!
✅ Treats or snacks. These help to calm and distract your pet, making the unpleasant task of cleaning a wound more bearable.
✅ List of important telephone numbers. We should always have the telephone number of our regular vet or the nearest emergency services to hand. When travelling, remember to check in advance which hospitals are nearby and have their telephone numbers and addresses to hand, just in case.
✅ Specific medication, only if prescribed by your vet. Never self-medicate your best friend!

Find a nice toiletries bag or box, keep all these items inside and find a place in your home where you know it will always be in case of need. If your pet needs veterinary care, contact your vet as soon as possible.

Is your cat 🐱 stressed, ill... or just being a cat? How to read cat behaviour signals!

Understanding cats isn't always easy, but we assure you that by learning their body language, you'll be able to more easily recognise your feline companion's mood. They don't speak with words, but they do try to communicate with us with their

🐈 Gaze, ear movement and facial expression
Wide eyes and dilated pupils → Alertness, fear or stress.
Slow blinking → A sign of trust and calm.
Ears back or tilted → Discomfort or irritation.

🐈 Tail
Tail upright with curved tip → Your cat is happy and open to interaction.
Tail down or hidden → Fear or insecurity.
Rapid whip-like movement → Irritation. Better leave them alone!

🐈 Body posture
Relaxed and stretched body → Total well-being.
Crouched or ‘balled up’ → Possible pain or discomfort.
Arched with bristled fur → Feels threatened and is in a defensive position.

🐈 Vocalisations
Soft meows → Seeking attention or interaction from us.
Growling or hissing → Something is bothering them, so give them space!
Constant or unusual meowing → This is a warning sign, as they may be scared, stressed or suffering from physical discomfort or pain.

🐈 Changes in daily habits (eating, sleeping, using the litter tray, etc.)
If you notice changes in their daily routine, such as eating less, licking themselves more often, sleeping too much, avoiding the litter tray and urinating outside it, hiding more, etc., don't ignore it! Cats are experts at hiding discomfort, but if we pay attention to their usual behaviour and detect any changes, this is their way of alerting us.

Observe your cat, and you will understand him!
Each cat has its own personality and habits, so the important thing is to detect what is out of the ordinary for yours.

Cat in the carrier... No drama!

If you share your life with a cat, you've probably faced the sometimes impossible task of getting them into their carrier to leave the house. Cats don't like feeling trapped, and if they're not used to this “prison-like object”, going to the vet can turn into an odyssey, but don't worry!

We're going to give you some tips to help make the carrier a safe place for your cat. Take note!👇

🐈 Always leave it in plain sight
If the carrier only appears when it's time to go to the vet, it's normal for your cat to not even want to see it. Even if it's not the most attractive piece of furniture, leave it permanently in an area of the house where your cat usually spends time, open, so that they can explore it at their own pace.

🐈 Make it cosy and pleasant
Add their favourite blanket or toy inside. The more ‘homely’ and friendly it seems, the more confidence it will inspire.

🐈 Use rewards
Their favourite snacks, a cuddle, a game... Every time they approach the carrier, they deserve positive reinforcement, so they will associate it with good things.

🐈 Stay calm when you have to use it
Avoid rushing, loud noises or sudden movements. Your cat senses your mood, and if you are nervous at this moment, your cat will probably also become more fearful and stressed.

🐈 Safety and silence in the car
During the journey to the vet, it is best to place the carrier on the floor of the back seats so that it does not move. It is also advisable to cover the carrier with a light blanket or sheet to make your cat feel more protected and avoid possible visual stressors, such as seeing a dog in the vet's waiting room.

Turn their carrier into a safe space!
With patience, routines and positive reinforcement, the carrier can cease to be an enemy for your cat and become a safe space for them.
