✨✨Fairy Dust Fund Alert ✨✨
One of our mental health client's felt comfortable enough at his last session to tell us that he was homeless and had been for the last two months. As a result, he had been having a lot of difficulty grooming himself and keep up with personal hygiene.
We used the Concentric fairy dust fund to purchase an electric groomer to support his hygiene/self-care goals as well as maintain his psychological and physical safety. 😌
He was pretty thrilled with the small gesture and has been putting the groomer to good use. 💇 💈
Our fairy dust fund allows our team members to make a difference to their client's lives and this is another example of how little things can make a big change. 🧚🏼😁

Despite having his lower legs and fingers amputated due to sepsis and suffering a stroke, Edwin has not let these issues get in the way of his movement.
The allied health team at Concentric Bella Vista have been working with Edwin on the Litegait specialised equipment to help with his gait pattern and strengthening.
Edwin is the true definition of never giving up and no excuses!

This week we farewell the amazing and ever smiling Dan, as he leaves Concentric after four years. He started as a physiotherapist working at Concentric aged care sites in Carine, West Perth and Claremont before taking on the role as WA regional manager overseeing all of our aged care services. He was also the man behind the stands at all of the university career days in WA - speaking with ease to current and graduating students about a career at Concentric.
He has been an absolute champ of a co-worker, boss and mentor and will be missed... however if you love something, set them free so we wish Dan all the best as he embarks on a new career move as a mobile physiotherapist. 👋 👍 ✨

The Stroke Foundation want us all to check in with our local pharmacy or GP for a quick blood pressure check - it could save your life.
Normal blood pressure is around 120/80. If your blood pressure is regularly over 140/90, you have high blood pressure. High blood pressure puts a strain on blood vessels all over the body, including the arteries that lead to the brain. This means the heart must work much harder to keep the blood circulation going. High blood pressure can lead to a stroke and is the most preventable cause of stroke worldwide.
