Meet Ali’a! An amazing, experienced clinician with almost 10 Speechie years under her belt. She recently discovered the Preschool Language Hierarchy and has been using it to guide her therapy from start to end — and this is what she mentioned:
“It’s become my go-to for understanding the trajectory of preschool language and setting clear, targeted therapy goals.”

If you want access to this to help your goal setting and preschool language therapy, comment PLH below and I’ll send it to you 💜

How do speech pathology and maths go together? Isn’t maths completely different as it’s numbers?

My eldest daughter started her first year of formal schooling and this is some of her maths work from last term.

Speechies, what do you see!? I spy preschool language concepts and goals!!

Yes, maths is numbers; however, a lot of activities in maths involve language.

Some of these language concepts we teach at such a young age, from 2 years onwards; however, they are some of the first concepts incorporated into children’s maths work from day one.

I cannot stress the importance of getting our goals and therapy thorough, effective and correct for our little ones! Also, knowing how our goals are linked to functional, everyday tasks.

Speechies, if you are not feeling clear on your preschool language practical therapy skills and how to take a child from 0 to 100% generalisation, come and join me (and hundreds of students) inside the PLA right now!

Comment PLA and I’ll get you started for less than a cup of coffee a day.

Parent asks: Are you just playing? How does working on more/less help REALLY help my child?

My eldest daughter started her first year of school last term and this is one example of her schoolwork. Speechies, what do you see!? I spy preschool language concepts and goals!!

Do you ever have those moments in therapy where you know the concept you want to teach… but you’re not quite sure how to structure the session around it? 🤔💭

That’s exactly why the Top & Bottom Goal Guide was created. Paed speech pathologist, Kaddy, shares how the guide helped her plan sessions for children learning the tricky concepts of first and last. Instead of guessing what to do next, the guide gives you a clear framework to follow. Inside the guide you’ll find:
✨ A simple overview of the goal (including prerequisites and typical age of acquisition)
🧸 Practical therapy activity ideas you can use straight away 🗣️ Helpful scripts to explain goals clearly to parents
📈 Step-ups and generalisation ideas so skills carry over outside the clinic It’s designed to make therapy planning clearer, easier, and more structured for busy clinicians.

The guide is a PDF delivered straight to your inbox 📄📧 Comment TOP or Bottom below and I’ll send you the link. 🎉
