One of the key ingredients to successful language therapy, is education with parents and caregivers.

How are parents supposed to understand what we are doing in therapy and how we are helping their child when we are using foreign language?!

Be aware of WHO you are communicating with and adjust your language! Drop the fancy, academic words.

Speechie, this is essential to rapport building and therapy. However, if you are unsure about this, I have parent scripts for you inside the PLA for over 40 language goals. It is designed as a ‘grab and go’ resource to use in every session.

Hey Speechie 👋
Ever had this question? 💭

“Where do I start in preschool language therapy — how do I know which goal to target first?”

I’m glad you asked! I’ve created a brand-new mini course inside the PLA Library called The Q&A Corner, answering the most common questions Speechies ask about language therapy.

Here’s what’s inside:
How do I know when to start language therapy if my child is not talking?
When do I change goals if my child is not progressing?
When do I discharge a child?
Where do I go after my child completes preschool language therapy?

It’s made for the busy, time-restricted Speechie — with 99% of answers explained in under 5 minutes!

Plus, I’ll point you toward helpful resources along the way.
Build your clinical knowledge and confidence now, and move forward in therapy with clarity. ✨

Special offer:
For the next few weeks, you can get this mini course with a one-off payment for lifetime access, and I’ll continue adding even more Q&As.

You can even submit your own language therapy questions anytime!

After this period, access to the Q&A Corner will only be available through the PLA Library membership — so if this sounds like something you need, get in now! 👇

Let’s go shopping! Hitting up Target today! 🛒🛍️

When using toys with your children to help them learn, they don’t need to be expensive or fancy.

It’s the fun, which builds connection, leading to safe feelings and this makes the brain receptive to learning.⭐️

Listen in to learn the language that I would use to boost my child’s development in this learning moment.🎙️🎬

For more tips and tricks on how and what toys to use in therapy, especially teach function of objects, comment ‘PLA’ and I’ll send you info ✨💜

Consideration of a child's cultural background and diversity in any speech pathology assessment is essential.

Especially in our language assessments, we need to make sure the data we gather is reflective of the child and their abilities, in light of their background.

Putting this altogether with the CELF-P3 assessment can be tricky to get your head around as a new grad or student.

If you want a head start with your assessments, without spending hours researching and feeling uncertain, download my CELF-P3 Speechie Skills Masterclass today.

I’m glad you asked! I’ve put together a new mini course inside the PLA Library, called The Q&A Corner, answering the common questions I get from Speechies about language therapy.

They are seriously the best resource, and she loves them and the velcro! ✨ Be sure to check them out and use EMILYM at checkout for a $15 discount 💸
