So many new faces here and we just hit 10k! 🎉
So let me re-introduce myself.

I’m Emily a speech pathologist from the Central Coast, Australia. I mentor speech pathologists, work with educators and parents and run with my husband, Michael. I have two busy, beautiful girls; Evie and Isabelle; and baby #3 coming 2026.

My dream is to see a world where all children are thriving in their communication.🌍🗣️

Language is the foundation of meaningful relationships, belonging and success in literacy and life.⭐️

Unfortunately, language development for many children is not happening simply. There can be many reasons why; however, my mission is to show you (speechies, educators, and parents) how to make language simple and achievable for all children in the everyday.✨

Like Taylor, the assessment must go on - no matter what your session throws at you. We need to get the data, talk to the parents, have clinic clarity and determine if our little one needs speech therapy or not.

🌟 Planning a therapy session for a language goal you haven’t targeted before can feel overwhelming. When we are in overwhelm mode, we can end up doing lots of things but not the RIGHT things. 🤷‍♀️

So, how do you know if you’re doing the right thing? 🤔 Get a mentor or a guide! 👩‍🏫

👥 Ask them what they did,
👀 watch how they do therapy,
🎭 role play,
📚 ask for a recap on the latest evidence, and
📝 plan your session together.
