TRANSPERSONAL ART THERAPIST & COUNSELLOR
I'm qualified Transpersonal Art Therapist and Counsellor. I help people reclaim joy through creativity. I offer one-to-one online tranpsersonal art therapy and counselling sessions to adults.

This is a gentle, creative space for self-discovery and healing. Art therapy utilises a mix of art making and counselling to explore the deeper layers of your inner world—beyond words and surface stories. You don’t need any art experience, just a willingness to be curious.

Transpersonal art therapy supports you to reconnect with lost parts of yourself, make meaning from your experiences, and feel more grounded, whole, and aligned. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply craving something more, these sessions offer a safe and compassionate space to explore what’s calling you—at your own pace.

If you are curious about working together please get in touch to book a free 15 mins discovery call where we can see if we are good fit.

Something a little different for NDIS participants looking for creative counselling support.

I work with adults who haven't quite found their fit with traditional talk therapy. People who process through creativity, imagination and story. Who carry stress and emotion in their body. Who need a space that feels built for the way their brilliant mind works.

Creativity here is a tool, not a talent. Sessions weave together person centred counselling, transpersonal art therapy, guided imagery and mindfulness. Always tailored to the individuals needs in terms of pace and structure. No art experience needed.

Available online Australia wide for self managed and plan managed NDIS participants, under counselling support - improved daily living.

Not sure if it's the right fit? Get in touch for a chat. A free 15 minute discovery call is the place to start.

What if yearning isn't something to push away or dismiss with a "not me?"

What if it's a preview?

A future version of you, sending breadcrumbs back through the forest. Tasty little clues left by your subconscious to get you moving in a direction that feels more like you.

The daydream isn't the problem. Staying asleep inside it is.

Walking into the forest can sound extreme. Burning it all down. Starting over.

But what if it's not about the dramatic leap at all?

Something to ponder...

What in your life right now brings you closer to the feeling, the image, the energy of that daydream?
And what takes you further away? The things that widen the gap so much you stop looking at the daydream altogether and just want to escape instead.

When you find a breadcrumb, have a nibble.

Does it make you want to find the whole loaf?

Upcoming in person workshops...

In May, we're exploring gel plate printing and image transfer; a beginner-friendly process that's equal parts technique and a little bit of magic. In June, we're getting into Found & Sewn Altered Images; collage, mark-making, and hand stitch combined into something entirely your own.

Both workshops run Tuesday evenings at Hurstville Library and Thursday evenings at Kogarah Library, 5:30–7:30pm. Limited spots. No experience needed.

📅 Gel Plate Printing: Tue 6 May (Hurstville) | Thu 14 May (Kogarah)
📅 Found & Sewn: Tue 3 June (Hurstville) | Thu 18 June (Kogarah)

Not everyone finds their way in through words. Sometimes it takes a mark on a page.

I've written a new blog for NDIS participants and support coordinators looking for something a little different.

Read it here: https://markandmovement.com.au/blog/ndis-counselling-transpersonal-art-therapy

NDIS funded counselling and transpersonal art therapy online with Mary-Helen Daly. A creative, person centered approach for participants and support coordinators looking for something beyond traditional talk therapy.

Did you ever notice insights coming to you when you're in a creative flow?

Not forcing. Not thinking. Just making.

Something about giving the hands something to do, without agenda, without rushing to an outcome or an understanding, creates a kind of side door. And through that door, things begin to float up that couldn't find their way through the noise.

Thoughts that are looping.
Feelings that are undigested.

Experiences layered with texture and colour and shape and sound that haven't found their form yet.

Sometimes the hand knows things the mind is still working out.

This is why I combine counselling with creative expression. Not because you need to be an artist. But because sometimes a mark on a page, a colour, a shape, can say what words haven't been able to.
And we don't even need to know what it says or means.

What becomes possible when the mind stops running the show?

I'm a slow processor.

I need to move. Sleep. Let things land in their own time.

Thoughts are like pebbles tossed into a pond. One or two and you can still see below the surface.
But when they keep coming, and they do keep coming, the water gets murky.
Disrupted. Hard to see through.

And our experiences aren't just thoughts.
They're layered. Texture and colour and shape and sound all at once.
Sometimes you have to break things into parts before the whole picture becomes visible.

So I walk. I stretch. I make art. I sleep. I wait for the mud and gunk to settle.
And slowly, the surface clears.

Are you a slow processor?

What helps you clear the turbulence?
