er world—beyond words and surface stories. You don’t need any art experience, just a willingness to be curious.

Let go of whatever dims your glow.

There is a light inside each of us that can be felt and seen. Sometimes, particular places, relationships, or identities we hold can dim it.

We can get so used to this dimming that it feels difficult to change, and it can even feel scary to allow ourselves to shine to our fullest potential. This isn’t about a shine that overshadows others; it’s the kind of light that naturally invites others to shine as well. It is in all of us, and when it gets suppressed, life can start to feel a bit flat, restless, or stagnant.

Here is a arts based grounding practice that can be done to reclaim a bit of calm in your day. 14 minutes of repetitive mark-making using pencils, oil pastels, and watercolor. There is no talking in this video—just the sounds of materials on paper. Nice way to take a break and reset.
