An Australian first! This week we did the first-ever EDOF (extended Depth of Focus) ICL in Australia. We were chosen by Staar Surgical and Device Technology to be the first to access this new lens. The lens is based on the ICL I have used for 25 years, so the operation is well-known with an excellent safety profile. As a reversible and additive operation, it gives patients excellent vision and is the preferred option for vision correction for many patients.
