✨ It’s Women’s Health Week ✨
A gentle reminder to put your health first. 💕
As women, we often prioritise family, work, and community—sometimes forgetting to look after ourselves.

This week is about recognising the importance of regular check-ups, listening to your body, and seeking support when needed.
✅ Book your routine health check
✅ Stay up to date with cervical screening
✅ Talk openly about menstrual, fertility, or menopause concerns
✅ Care for your mental and emotional wellbeing
Your health matters—not just this week, but every week. 🌸
💌 If you’ve been putting off an appointment, now is the perfect time to prioritise YOU.

🌟 Hey there, moms-to-be! 🌟

Exercise during pregnancy is super important for both you and your little bundle of joy! 🤰💪 It helps you maintain a healthy weight and can even manage common pregnancy issues like back pain, constipation, and pregnancy diabetes. 🏃‍♀️🧘‍♀️

A good mix of muscle training, aerobics, and pelvic floor exercises can be really beneficial. Some great options include walking, swimming, stationary cycling, pregnancy-specific yoga, and Pilates. 🚶‍♀️🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️
Of course, always chat with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program, especially during pregnancy. They can give you personalized advice based on your specific needs. 🩺💬

March is Endometriosis awareness month. I dedicate this post to raising awareness about this condition which can lead to chronic pelvic pain affecting the quality of life as well as long term implications including sub fertility.

RATE is a free online tool by “RANZCOG” which can be used by doctors and patients to help identify and assess endometriosis

https://ranzcog.edu.au/resources/raising-awareness-tool-for-endometriosis-rate/

Government funding towards endometriosis research and clinical care has also boosted efforts towards better care including setting up of pelvic pain clinics across Australia.

Increasing awareness will lead to early diagnosis, understanding and care for the women which will lead to better outcomes

Routine screening of blood group and antibody type is done in pregnancy.
One of the most important aspect of this is to identify women with a negative blood group type as a mismatch with their baby can lead to serious implications.
With modern advances we can now do tests which can detect the baby’s blood group during pregnancy to offer better and targeted care.
