Our team of Speech Pathologists provide services Sydney wide in homes, pre-schools, schools, aged care facilities, workplaces, day programs and out in the community. They have experience with children and adults in the assessment and treatment of:

Meet Sinead - our incredible Clinical Manager & Senior Speech Pathologist here at Care2Communicate 🌈

Sinead’s journey into speech pathology started young...inspired by her mum, who coached Special Olympics teams across Ireland and the world. Growing up in such an inclusive and empowering environment sparked her lifelong passion for supporting people of all abilities to connect and thrive 💛

What lights Sinead up most?

💬 Working with children and families in those first steps after a diagnosis.
💡 Helping parents feel confident, capable, and ready to support their child’s communication needs.
🎯 Creating fun, functional strategies that work in real-life, everyday moments.

Her special passion? Early intervention, especially with children on the autism spectrum. Sinead’s therapy style is all about being Supportive. Empowering. Practical...so families feel guided, not overwhelmed.

Communication is more than words, it’s shaped by our culture, traditions, and the languages we speak.

At Care2Communicate, we celebrate the rich cultural diversity in our community because we know it influences how we connect, share stories, and express ourselves.

Meet Olivia - Senior Speech Pathologist & Orofacial Myologist here at Care2Communicate 💬

Olivia’s journey into speech pathology is deeply personal 💛 Growing up with a mum who is profoundly deaf, she saw first-hand the incredible power of communication. Watching her mum teach herself to speak without being able to hear sparked Olivia’s lifelong passion for helping others find their voice.

What Olivia loves most about her job?
🌈 Supporting people to communicate in ways that feel natural and right for them.
💡 Watching confidence grow as someone connects more easily and feels truly understood.
🤝 Helping clients express themselves in ways that work for their everyday lives.

Her special passions include:
✨ Functional communication - making sure speech skills work in real-world settings.
✨ Articulation & speech clarity - especially for individuals experiencing hearing loss.

When little ones are working hard to find their words, the right kind of praise can help them feel proud, motivated, and excited to keep trying.

✅ Praise the effort, not just the result
Instead of “Good talking!” try:
💡 “I love how you kept trying to say that!”
💡 “You used so many words to tell me your idea!”

✅ Be specific
Let them know exactly what they did well:
💡 “You said ‘banana’ so clearly!”
💡 “I love how you used your words to ask for more.”

That’s why at Care2Communicate, we practise strength-focused storytelling, using language that celebrates what a person can do, rather than highlighting what they can’t.

Instead of saying:
🚫 “He can’t say his /r/ sound.”

Try:
💡 “He’s working hard on his /r/ sound and can say it clearly in short words now!”

Instead of:
🚫 “She doesn’t talk much.”

Try:
💡 “She’s starting to use more words to share what she wants and needs.”

Language is powerful, and when we use it to highlight progress, strengths, and potential, we’re not just telling a story… we’re helping to write a brighter one ❤️

📅💬 Ever wondered what a week in the life of a speech pathologist really looks like? Spoiler alert: it’s never boring… and always full of heart ❤️

One day, we might be on the floor playing with blocks to encourage first words 🧸, the next we’re helping a child master tricky speech sounds 🗣️, supporting a teenager with social communication skills 👩‍🎓, visiting a school to collaborate with teachers on learning goals and sometimes, we’re working with adults after a stroke to rebuild functional communication skills and confidence in everyday life 💬✨.

We’re in homes, classrooms, aged care facilities, online sessions 💻, and sometimes even the supermarket aisle (yes, language learning happens everywhere 🙌).

Every day is different, but the mission is always the same: helping people find their voice and feel confident using it.

It’s busy, it’s rewarding, it’s emotional, it’s fun...and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I started this journey with one clear vision: to build a team culture where everyone feels supported, inspired, and truly valued...not just as professionals, but as people. A place where friendship, shared passion, and genuine collaboration aren’t just nice-to-haves… they’re the heartbeat of what we do.

I’ve been lucky enough to work across so many settings...private practice, aged care, schools, daycare centres, and out in the community, and one thing has always been clear:

Here at Care2Communicate, we believe communication is a human right. It’s not just about words, it’s about gestures, devices, sounds, pictures, and even presence. It’s about connection, confidence, and being understood.
