Empathic Wholeness ✨

At the beginning of this year, I had a full on moment of “it’s time to change my business name”. My mum and I created a candle business under the name of Chakra Mantra, so to start me off in my Naturopathic and Energy Healing clinic space, I used that name to get myself up and running.

But it just doesn’t align anymore, and it doesn’t feel like me. I knew I needed a name which encompasses what I bring in through my healing sessions with my clientele.

I created the name quite fast, but have been putting off changing my name “exclusively” on the old social media for months now. I was waiting for the right website, business course, professional photographs and business cards to give me permission to start, but I just found I was either holding off, hiding away and meeting roadblocks where it just didn’t align.

So, here I am. Empathic Wholeness. An old photo of me going for a bush walk and communing with the trees, taken on my old iPhone and used as my new Instagram picture, no website as yet, no business course under my belt, no logo as yet and no “real” changes to anything. Except my energy ✨ I know it is time for me to take this next step, to own it, and to not wait to have all my ducks in a row for things to snowball into success.

The time is now. So, meet Empathic Wholeness. Your friend, healer and helper. We will work together. I’m not going to be your miracle pill; I’m going to be the channel for you to help yourself. Using the foundation of natural medicine and various empathic energy healing techniques, we will journey together to reconnect you on a physical and soul level.

Are you ready to take this next step with me?

Feel exhausted, unmotivated, hair falling out, putting on weight, losing weight, getting sick often, inflamed, sore and downright over it? So, you head to the doc to get a whole range of blood tests because “surely something will come up to explain this sh*tty feeling”, and they say “your blood work is great! Try eating better, exercising and sleeping more” 🤦‍♀️

Can I get a heck no?! How damn dismissive and downright disempowering! But, so many of us rely on our doctors solely for everything, and whatever they say goes 🫡

I hear it time and time again, “my doctor said my bloods are all fine, but I still feel ___ (enter a myriad of modern day health ailments)”. That’s because my friends, nervous system and emotional dysregulation and hormonal imbalances can be one of the MAIN reasons why you’re feeling off. And unless your doc has a magnifying glass out to do appropriate bloods, your standard “full blood count” generally won’t pick up on this.

Now DO NOT get me wrong; I truly believe Doctors are VITAL in our health care system and we are so lucky to live in a day and age where they are readily available. Thank the Lordy for modern medicine 🙌 however, unless you’ve found a doctor who truly listens to you and helps dig into the deep stuff, the majority of the time you can feel underwhelmed or overwhelmed.

My point? Discern, my friends. Your feelings and your concerns are VALID. If everything is “in normal range” but you’re feeling off, then trust that. You are your own closest ally and healer, so listen to what your body and soul is trying to tell you. It could be the slightest change and tune in that will help set yourself back on the path of vibrancy. Earlier to bed. Leaving your job/relationship. Cutting gluten or dairy. Eating more meat. Saying no to others. Starting that project you’ve been avoiding. Clearing out a sneaky parasite. You’ll know what is needed✨

☀️

I’ve been MIA for the last couple of weeks on a muchhhh needed holiday to rest, reset and recharge.

Before heading away, I didn’t actually realise, amongst the “I should do this, achieve that, make sure I tick off x, y and z on my list of life” just how fatigued, lifeless and drained I was feeling. I know that sounds full on, but I’m sure if you tune in to the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday etc repeat of the working weeks, it can sure feel this way. Obviously, it all depends on your connection to your soul and self, and what you actually do to make a financial living. I know many souls who spend their days weaving magic and finding that sweet spot of energy exchange with financial abundance, but for me, I was working first, playing second, and resting last 😮‍💨

Where did my lack of trust in the universe start to take front and centre in my days? I know deep down how abundant I am and how magic my days are, but I was being bogged down by too much that wasn’t mine to carry.

Taking time to be away from home, just with my beautiful wife and doggo, my skin cleared, I had zero fluid retention in my legs, I wasn’t feeling overwhelmed and suffocated, and I wasn’t tight and stiff in my body. I felt happy. I noticed rainbows in the sky again, I heard birds talking to me and I listened to the whispers of the trees. My world opened up to the magical place I know it to be. I was clear and I felt me again ✨

You’re probably thinking “ummm yes, holidays always make us feel fine and dandy!” but it made me start to ask, should I really need weeks off, away from my home, my beautiful place of work and my family to feel this good and vibrant? I don’t think so!

We need to love each day as a restful holiday amongst doing “life”. This is what I am planning to implement in my life when I get back into creating my magical empire. What do you do everyday to reconnect to your own innate nature? Life is too important to live for the next “holiday”, so let’s start enjoying it today. If you need to switch off and switch up your energy, do something simple today to clear your space and move some energy around✨

Back in ye days of old, our ancestors had no choice but to preserve food, slow cook meals on the fire, hunt meat and grow produce. It would’ve been tough, but so rewarding! We would’ve been connected to the land and the seasons, and our diet would’ve differed month by month accordingly. We would’ve been attuned to nature and in tune with her rhythms 🍂

Today we have so much convenience surrounding us. Supermarkets every 2km, whatever meal you want from whatever cuisine you choose at the touch of a button delivered to your doorstep and meals ready to go as soon as you walk into a takeaway restaurant 🍔 It is all so fast paced and instantaneous. Society has completely lost the plot when it comes to cyclical eating and nourishment, and it is showing in our rising health decline and our stressed out “go go go” pace 😮‍💨

I am a total advocate for the slow food movement. There is nothing better than preparing dinner in the morning to slow cook all afternoon, completely filling every nook and cranny of our home with delicious aromas. By slow cooking, you become more attuned to your food and connected to it. It becomes a whole body dance between you and your food; the smell, the checking on it throughout the cooking process, the excitement, the reward.

You can literally slow cook anything! From fruit to meat, bread to soups. All you need is a bit of creativity and the lust for yumminess. By slow cooking meals, you also increase the absorption of nutrients by making it easier for your gut to break down and digest. Perfecttt for anyone who feels under the weather, anyone who feels stressed or for us magical woman who are coming into our monthly bleed 🩸

So before this weekend try and come up with a recipe or meal idea where you can whack the oven on low and slow. Fancy a roast? Craving a pie? Would kill for a Dahl? Want a homemade apple tart? Do it! It’s so damn easy and your taste buds will thank you for it!

**in the photo is slow cooked pears with honey and thyme that we enjoyed with organic Greek yoghurt for a late Sunday brekky** 🍐

Wake before sunrise. Drink salt and lemon water on rising. Write down your gratitude list. Do 20mins of meditation or breathwork. Stretch. Hit the gym. Hit the pavement and run. Eat a wholefood, gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free breakfast. Drink your coffee 1 hour after waking up. Drink 2 litres of high vibe, chlorine free water a day. Eat a lunch filled with greens and phytonutrients from plants. Eat a lunch with meat only. Have a cold shower after work. Eat dinner before 6pm. Turn phones off by 6.30. Stare at the moon. Read 10 pages of a book before bed. Repeat.

All of the above is what is thrown at us constantly from health “experts”, social media and every Tik Tok video these days. But honestly, it all just sounds so exhausting and inauthentic 😮‍💨

Don’t get me wrong, I do the majorly of the above on the daily, but I also prioritise not doing these things too.

We are always being told to have a balance between doing and resting, but with so much information constantly bombarding us about what we “should do” for health, it can get very overwhelming.

When was the last time you read a book, in bed, with a hot cacao? When was the last time you slept in? Had a bath for the pleasure of it? Actually turned your phone off (😮!)? If you can’t remember, take this post as a huge sign to stop all the noise and the “doing” to achieve health, and calm the heck down and nourish the part of you that is craving the rest🧘

We don’t see birds or lions or dogs or trees in constant “go mode”. So take a leaf out of Mother Natures book and enjoy hibernating a couple of days a week 🍂 🤫 Your immune system and nervous system will thank you for it.
