In a world where misinformation spreads faster than facts, being a part of something that brings clarity, compassion and credibility to women’s health felt deeply meaningful.
Today, I collaborated with to create a video project that is bringing together advocates and storytellers with a shared purpose: to help women cut through the noise and find health information they can truly trust.
Too often, women are left to navigate their health alone.
They’re told their symptoms are normal, or in their head.
They’re offered quick fixes, instead of long term care.
They’re marketed ‘solutions’ that over-promise and underdeliver.
And they’re left blaming themselves, when really - they’ve been let down by a system that hasn’t always listened, validated or supported them.
As a GP working in weight management and metabolic health, I see this every day.
But, I also see what happens when we choose to do things differently.
When we take the time to understand the whole person - them in the context of their biology, their environment, juggling their mental load, family life and values.
When we replace shame with support, and hype with honest, evidence-based advice.
This is the kind of care I believe in.
And I’m deeply grateful to have shared this message as part of this project.
Stay tuned to see what’s coming, and thank you to Women’s Agenda for creating a space for thoughtful, collaborating work like this - and your unwavering commitment to improving women’s health, not just in theory - but in action.
