Merry Christmas as we are approaching towards the end of 2021. Unfortunately, COVID-19 is still very much with us, but there are still plenty to be thankful for in 2021. Upon reflection, our staffs have never wavered from their responsibilities and dedication towards the needs of our participants and clients in the midst of this pandemic. We would also extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners and suppliers through this extraordinary year.
With your continuing support, Compassion Rehab has experienced solid growth, expanded our services, and continue to commit to your course.

COVID-19 Vaccines Roll-out: The Australian Government Department of Health is starting phase 1a of the vaccine roll out to people with disability and workers in residential accommodation from 22 February 2021.

People with disability, workers and supporters eligible under Phase 1a of the roll-out include:

1) A person with disability living in residential accommodation (in settings with two or more people with disability only).

2) A paid worker providing support to people living in residential accommodation with two more people with disability.

Note that the COVID-19 vaccine is free and voluntary.

You will be providing high-level community-based clinical services, including client assessment and treatment therapy, equipment prescription, home assessment and modifications, and producing high standard of comprehensive reports.

We can offer on-the-job training to less experienced therapist.

Other Requirements:
- Minimum one year of clinical experience
- Registered with AHPRA or equivalent
- Effective time management skills and ability to manage caseloads
- Current and unrestricted Australian's driver's license with access to a motor vehicle
- Rights to work in Australia

Handwriting is a complex task requiring a high level of fine motor skills, visual perception and pencil control. Our initial occupational therapy assessment shows this young girl uses a lateral punch grasp with excessive force, leading to fatigue, pain and reduced accuracy. A simple and enforced correction can make a significant difference to her handwriting.

Christmas is fast approaching and we are near the end of 2020. We may never forgot the negative impact of COVID-19 but we have also seen that love, compassion and unity for your family, friends and fellow Australians have so far pulled us through this dreadful pandemic.

A Companion Card is for people with a significant and permanent disability. When a cardholder buys a ticket at selected venues and facilities around NSW, their carer or companion will be given a second ticket at no charge.
