As 2025 comes to a close, my heart is full beyond words.

This year I had the absolute honour of supporting 11 incredible families as they welcomed their babies into the world. Eleven journeys. Eleven stories. Eleven moments that will stay with me forever.

To be invited into your homes, your birth spaces, and your most vulnerable, raw, life-altering moments is a privilege I will never take lightly. Birth is powerful, unpredictable, emotional, and sacred. To witness it, to hold space, to support, and to stand beside you is something I am endlessly grateful for.

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for opening your hearts and your doors. Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you during one of the biggest transitions of your lives.

Every family taught me something. Every birth reaffirmed why I do this work. And every baby reminded me just how extraordinary this calling truly is.

Here’s to the families of 2025 — you will always hold a special place in my heart.
And here’s to continuing this journey into the year ahead, with gratitude, humility, and so much love.

Celebrating the extraordinary Holly

With strength, determination, and profound courage, Holly brought her second beautiful baby into the world in the most incredible way. Her little girl chose the most meaningful timing imaginable — arriving the day before her big brother Logan’s first heavenly birthday. Logan, born on 21/11/2024 and forever loved, undoubtedly had a hand in guiding his baby sister safely into her mother’s arms.

Holly’s labour was powerful and swift, unfolding with remarkable intensity. She arrived at the hospital and, only ten minutes later, birthed her daughter with grace and instinct. We were able to settle Mum, Dad, and baby into the bath together, where Holly birthed and caught her own placenta — a moment of pure strength, presence, and trust.

The bond between Holly and her midwife was something special to witness; the kind of partnership built on trust, love, and unwavering support. Witnessing that connection, and being present to support Holly as she birthed her baby, was an immense privilege I will always hold close.

Holly, you are incredible. Your story, your resilience, and the love you carry for both of your children is truly inspiring. It was a privilege to stand beside you. Holly, you are remarkable. Logan would be so proud of his mum and his little sister. 💛🧸✨

✨ A Story of Strength, Love, and New Beginnings

I’m so proud to share something truly special today. My beautiful client Holly, after experiencing the heartbreaking loss of her baby boy Logan shortly after his birth, made herself a promise — to honour his memory by fulfilling her dream of becoming an author.

Together with her two sisters, Nina and Georgia, Holly created Logi Bear Books, a project born from love, grief, and hope. They’ve just released their very first book, “Where’d You Go” — a tender and heartfelt story that helps families talk about loss and love in a way that brings comfort and connection.

Holly and her sisters have poured every part of their hearts into Logi Bear Books, and I couldn’t be prouder to support them on this incredible journey.

As you can see, Holly is also preparing to welcome another beautiful baby in the coming weeks, and I feel so deeply honoured to be walking beside her once again through this next chapter. 🌈

Please join me in celebrating Holly, Nina, and Georgia — their courage, creativity, and unwavering love. You can find “Where’d You Go” and learn more about their beautiful mission at 🐻

✨ Two Best Friends, One Doula, One Journey ✨

There’s something so special about friendship, but it’s even more incredible when two best friends choose to walk their pregnancy and birth journeys together — with me by their side as their doula. 💕 Supporting them both through their pregnancies and births was such a privilege, and witnessing the strength, love, and connection they shared was unforgettable.

Now, as their babies have grown, our journey continues in a whole new way! I’m so excited to be teaching them and their little ones how to feel confident, comfortable, and safer in the water 🏊‍♀️💦. Seeing those same mums who leaned on me during birth now laughing, bonding, and learning alongside their babies in the pool is the most beautiful full circle moment.

I’m so passionate about supporting families — not just through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — but also in empowering them with lifelong skills. Helping little ones develop water safety and confidence is a gift that goes far beyond the early years.

From the birth space to the swimming pool, it’s all about nurturing, empowering, and creating safe, supported environments for families to thrive. 🌸✨

💌 If you’re looking for a doula to walk alongside you during your pregnancy and birth, or a swim teacher to support your little one’s confidence and safety in the water — I’d love to chat!

Water has long been recognized as a soothing and supportive element during labour and birth. Whether you choose a water birth or simply use water as a comfort measure, here are some incredible benefits that water can offer:

Pain Relief: Water has a natural analgesic effect, providing relief from the intensity of contractions. Many women find that being immersed in water eases their discomfort and allows for a more peaceful labour experience.

Relaxation and Reduced Anxiety: Perhaps one of the most significant benefits of water is its ability to induce relaxation. Immersing yourself in warm water can help reduce stress and anxiety, enhancing your body's natural ability to progress in labour.

Increased Mobility and Freedom of Movement: Water buoyancy allows for increased freedom of movement, promoting optimal positioning, and helping your baby descend through the birthing canal. This enhanced mobility can facilitate a smoother and more comfortable labour.

Facilitates Gentle Transitions: Transitioning from the womb to the outside world can be a gentle and seamless experience for your baby. Water births provide a warm and familiar environment, replicating the amniotic fluid, which can ease the transition for your little one.

Privacy and Intimacy: Water births offer a serene and private space for you and your partner to bond with your baby. The calm and tranquil atmosphere can enhance the intimacy of the birthing process and create memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Have you considered or experienced water immersion during labour or birth? Share your experiences and thoughts in the comments below. Let's celebrate the incredible benefits that water can offer during this transformative journey!

✨Client Testimonial✨
Having a doula was not something I had really considered, until we met Katherine. We first met Katherine through the hypnobirthing education course. Katherine was friendly, energetic, and engaging. She really knows birth and how important it is to work on creating a calm environment for birth. As the course went on, she helped us explore and find the right answers for us in relation to questions we had for our birth. She helped us explore and unpack choices we needed to make and did so free of judgement. After meeting Katherine, we felt like she was perfect fit as a doula to support us to have our dream, low intervention water birth.
Leading up to my labour Katherine checked in consistently and was on call for us when my waters broke in the middle of the night. She was the calm we needed and provided us with advice in line with our preferences. When labour got so intense I needed her here she was there quickly in the early hours of the morning. What I love about Katherine is she can somehow be exactly what you need in the moment. During the hypnobirthing she brought such energy and engagement but during my labour she was a calm, nurturing, feminine energy that I needed in the moment. I will never forget her holding my hand quietly as I was scared or how she gently gave me the encouragement, that I could do it. Also, her back rubs soothed me and helped me stay in my calm zone in between contractions. While being a nurturing presence for me in the thick of labour. She was such a practical support for my husband, talking him through techniques to support me and helping him to make decisions that were in line with our preferences. When the chaos ramped up and things changed quickly, Katherine adapted and supported us practically to get to the hospital quickly helping with our bags which meant my husband could be free to just be present with me when I needed him most.
After my son was born Katherine stayed with us for the few hours that followed, just gently in the background taking photos, making sure I had something to eat and talking me through all the things that were happening next. This meant that my husband could just relax and we could take in the golden hours together. I won’t ever forget how powerful yet vulnerable I felt after birth and having Katherine’s presence helped me navigate that. I knew she had been there before and I felt a maternal energy as she supported me through those first steps and shower. I will always be so grateful to have had her there on the most magical, intense day of my life.
The support from Katherine has continued into postpartum. Once again bringing that gentle and nurturing energy in a vulnerable time. She continued to offer check ins, helped me with breastfeeding questions gave me cuddle when it got hard and that’s all I needed.
Katherine has been a special part of journey into parenthood. With her education and support I achieved my dream unmediated water birth. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be something you go through alone. A doula is more than just a support person; they’re your empowerment partner every step of the way. 💪❤️

Here’s why YOU deserve a doula:

Emotional Support - Pregnancy can bring so many emotions! Doulas are there to listen, reassure, and help you feel understood. They’re like your personal cheerleader.

Physical Comfort - During labor, they know all the techniques (massage, breathing, positioning) that help you feel at ease and manage pain naturally.

Advocacy - A doula knows your birth plan and helps communicate your needs, ensuring your voice is heard in the delivery room.

Postpartum Care - After birth, they offer support for everything from breastfeeding to recovery, helping you navigate those first weeks at home.

Holistic Care - Doulas honor both your physical and mental health, providing a calm, informed presence throughout the entire journey.

Every woman deserves a team that prioritizes her. No matter how you birth, having a doula by your side helps you feel strong, informed, and supported.
