WHY I DO WHAT I DO?
🎹Believe it or not but 10 years ago I was a piano teacher. My background is music.
In 2015, while preparing for Associate Diploma in Music piano recital I injured myself. I was stupid, I pushed through. Passed with a Distinction. Since then I’ve been living with chronic pain in my right hand.
😫For a couple of years it was unbearable. I had to stop teaching, I was depressed, I quit my job and it was one of the lowest points of my life. I spent thousands of dollars on doctors, scans and even a trip overseas to check what is happening but I was only diagnosed with neuropathic nerve pain. No one could really explain what was happening to me.
💪Then I met Dan , an EP who introduced me into the world of movement and strength training.
I have never ever stepped foot in a gym before. I was never strong, never really fit. It was all new and scary.
😯And then within months of consistent training my pain levels started decreasing, I became stronger, more confident. I felt better, mentally and physically and exercise started being an outlet for my stress and pain.
🏋️♀️Strength training literally saved my life. I don’t know what I would do if I’d stay in the same place. I had no hope for the future and this has given me a light in the tunnel.
💕As I stopped teaching I did not now what I can do. I always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, I always wanted to do something meaningful and teaching was just that. I thought I’d be a teacher forever. Unfortunately, this was not the case, but I still wanted to be out there and help others. As Exercise Physiology has helped me a lot, I decided to become a Personal Trainer then an EP.
📖📚I did one year of Exercise Physiology degree while pregnant, had my little boy and now, two years later I am studying Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
🔥 I want other women to be strong, pain-free and confident. I want you to redefine aging with strength.
🏋️♀️I want to be a health and fitness professional who helps other women feel strong to never go through the suffering that I’ve gone through.
