LSVT LOUD is an effective speech treatment for people with Parkinson's disease (PD) and other neurological conditions.

LSVT LOUD trains people with PD to use their voice at a more normal loudness level while speaking at home, work, or in the community. Key to the treatment is helping people "recalibrate" their perceptions so they know how loud or soft they sound to other people and can feel comfortable using a stronger voice at a normal loudness level.

Did you know that Concentric offers PD Warrior™ group classes and instruction to people who have been recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease?
The PD Warrior™ program is the most comprehensive rehabilitation program for people with Parkinson’s. Based on the principles of neuroplasticity, PD Warrior™ aims to slow Parkinson’s symptoms, while helping you to look and feel your best.

Four of our Communities sites are accredited to run these classes :
*Maddington, WA
*Bella Vista, NSW
*Westminster, WA
*Burwood, NSW

These classes can be attended by NDIS or private clients. Each participant must be assessed prior to commencing classes.

✨✨Fairy Dust Fund Alert ✨✨
Concentric Maddington have supported client Jim post stroke for a long time with physiotherapy and exercise physiology services.
Prior to having a stroke, Jim was an avid gamer. Our team learnt that he was keen to re-engage with this hobby although was worried about playing one handed. Upon further investigation, we discovered PlayStation make a fully customisable accessible controller that has been designed with input from people with disabilities.
We used the Concentric Fairy Dust Fund to purchase this controller for Jim to use with a new PS5 and VR. With his wife's help, we were able to present him his new controller on his birthday.
In addition to surprising Jim on his birthday, we are now planning to incorporate the VR into our future exercise physiology and physiotherapy sessions.
Our Fairy Dust Fund allows our team members to make a difference to their client's lives and this is another example of how little things can make a big change. 🧚🏼😁

Introducing Sandi Weerasekara, one of our outstanding Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioners based at Concentric Carrum Downs, Victoria.
With a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of South Australia, NDIS registration as a Behaviour Technician and Behaviour Support Practitioner, and current studying towards a Masters in Social Work at Monash University, Sandi brings exceptional expertise to our team.
