My First pregnancy happened when I was all of 25, newly married girl in a new city miles away from home… finding my space in this new place… navigating new relations, people, a new job… and a little seedling that was now growing inside me.

What came as a surprise back then, turned out to be the biggest blessing of my life. In this new city, I was now creating my own little family… my nest… and a whole new world and most importantly- a new me. It started to feel like home.

Pregnancy itself was challenging, I had very strong nausea that lasted for almost 14 weeks… insecurities about looking after a dependent when I felt like a child myself at times… and putting some of my dreams like going to Uni again or attaining my career dream of becoming a Marketing Director in a big firm by 30… on the back seat.

But as I sit here today writing this story, and reflecting on the 12 glorious years of having my daughter by my side… there’s not a thing I would change.
