Rupert- oh dear one how special you are.

He is the reason I have been MIA.

This is him right now asleep on me. I am (trying) to savor every moment.
We have had a few little hiccups.
But nothing we can’t work through.

Feeling tired but so grateful to have our family complete.

Mother’s of new babes - I see you. Toughest job in the world 🌎 but oh so wonderful at the same time.

He will be 6 weeks tomorrow. The last 6 weeks have been a beautiful blur.

It still blows my mind that we are able to create life. I have been trying to savor every moment.
With Daphne’s birth I didn’t write my birth story but with this one I definitely am going to write out every little detail. Especially because this will be a home birth.
I can’t wait to share my story.

Our aim is to eat as many fruit & vegetables as possible each day.
Having something like this for breakfast can give you a strong head start.
Frozen Strawberries 🍓
Frozen blueberries 🫐
Frozen raspberries
Frozen blackberries
Frozen pineapple 🍍
Frozen Banana 🍌
Avocado 🥑

This has over 11 fruits & vegetables. Plus all the nuts & seeds.
You really can be so creative & add whatever tickles your pickle.
I recommend popping it all in a high speed blender, tasting it & then adding more fruit if needed.
I did this 2 or 3 times before I got the taste just right.

I just had a session with a client & we were talking about failure.

We had some massive breakthroughs & I just had to share & celebrate.

Personally I do not believe there is such a thing as failing I feel it’s more of an opportunity to learn.

It’s all in our perception.

I would love to say with confidence that we are coming out of lockdown today but it ain’t lookin good so here is some inspiration if it does get extended.
🌿Going through your wardrobe?
Asking yourself… have I worn it in the last year? If no then donating it.

🌿Emails 📧
Unsubscribe.
Once you have unsubscribed, go back into your emails and search for the company then mass delete.
So satisfying.

🌿Meditate 🧘‍♀️
Have you heard everyone raving about the benefits of this?
Have you wanted to try it but never had the time? The time is now!
�🌿Exercising 🏃🏽‍♀️
Is your fav excuse - i am too tired?

Time is so precious.

How can you live more in the moment & learn how to be happy now.

Not when you get that promotion…

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

Reach for your phone & start checking your messages & notifications?

My challenge for you this long weekend is to turn your phone off at night & not turn it on until you have done something to nourish your soul.

This can look different for everyone but here are some examples….

Breath work?
Exercise?
Meditation?
Stretching?
Journaling?
Grounding?
Going outside & letting the natural light hit your eyes before the blue light of your phone messes with your circadian rhythm?
Making yourself a lemon 🍋 water, sitting somewhere peaceful, hydrating your body.
It could be as simple as closing your eyes 👀 & taking 5 deep belly breaths & thinking about all the things you are grateful for 💗

We have become so addicted to our phones 📱 who wants to change their bad habits?

Who wants to get uncomfortable & create a new healthy habit?

Meditation with your legs up on the wall - have you tried this? Daphne joined me this morning. It was frustrating as she was fidgeting the whole time but she managed to stay in position for the whole 10 mins. Normally I try & do this before she wakes but this morning she was up early asking if it was her birthday yet (it’s tomorrow). When I told her it was time for me to meditate she said “I wanna do it with you Mumma” I was so happy. My hope for my daughter is that she picks up this habit from a young age. Children do what they see us model. They are watching & picking up on our every move & mood. What habit do you wish you picked up as a child? I would love to know 🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍

Today I urge you to slow down and think about what you want. How do you want to feel. What brings you joy?

This was me at kindy drop off.

I am a mess.

A song came on the radio on the way & I could not stop crying.

When we arrived I pulled her onto my lap & explained why I was so sad.

Daphne grabbed my face in her hands & said “don’t cry mummy”

I said “I want you to know it’s ok to cry if you are sad. I also want you to know that we are trying our best so that you can have a brother or sister but it’s just not happening for some reason”

She said “it’s ok mummy it doesn’t matter”

Then we had a great big hugging session.

Yesterday I was convinced I was pregnant.

I was nauseous all day. I spent the whole day on the lounge resting.

When I got my period this morning I actually couldn’t believe it I had convinced myself that much.

So I am taking a day.

A day to rest & a day to feel.

Tomorrow is a new day.

I hope if you are going through something you can give yourself the grace to do the same.

Sometimes we just need a day 💫

As I sit here on New Years Eve reminiscing & reflecting... a question arises.

What have I learned about myself?

I thrive when I exercise- moving my body every single day is my intention for 2021.
I started a 14 day challenge & I loved it so much I kept it up.
Showing up for myself has been so powerful & liberating.
Switching up my meditation routine has been a game changer. I went from doing it before my workout- first thing in the morning to doing it after my workout & it has helped me drop in & relax deeper than ever before. I was so stuck in my ways but the challenge opened up my eyes to a better way. It proves that switching things up that seem to work really well can help you expand & improve in ways that you never thought could be possible.

I have learned - launching a business at the start of covid was hard but I believe people are much more interested in the importance of having a strong immune system & prioritising their health. Nothing in life is easy & everything happens for a reason.

I have learned that marriage is not always smooth sailing & it takes consistent work.

I have learned that perfection is an illusion.

I have learned the importance of slowing down.

I have learned that I need to put my family first.

I have learned that I am human & it’s not possible to be everything for everyone.

I have learned that gratitude is a daily practice that I will continue for the rest of my life.

I have learned the importance of being kind to myself.

I have learned that everything will get done & it doesn’t have to be on the same day.

I have learned that everything will be ok.

I am exactly where I am supposed to be right now in this moment.

2021 is going to be my best year yet.

Vegetables for breakfast!
Food is food!
Why do we put restrictions on ourselves as to what is classified as something we can or can not eat for breakfast.
During this time of year I especially make an effort to make up a big batch at the start of the week.
If I eat vegetables for breakfast & then don’t have very many during the rest of the day I can relax & know that I have already given myself a great start to my day.
Each day I heat it up either in the frying pan with ghee or in the oven. If I am running short of time I pop it in my thermos & then eat it either in the car or at my destination.
