As a therapist, my approach is rooted in both person-centred and strength-based therapy. This means that I prioritize the unique needs and experiences of each individual client, and work collaboratively with them to identify their strengths and build upon them. I believe that every person has the capacity to grow and change, and I strive to empower my clients to take an active role in their own healing process. Through person-centred therapy, I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. By focusing on their strengths, I help clients develop the tools and skills they need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Overall, my approach to therapy is designed to help clients tap into their inner resilience and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Acceptance of self…

This was a lesson I took years to understand.

It wasn’t until I uncovered all the parts of myself I had been ignoring and avoiding, the parts of me that were negative, self hating and destructive, that I was able to sit in a place of acceptance and compassion.

When we are trying to change our lives we try to focus only on the positive we want to create and push aside all the negativity, the past mistakes and the dark thoughts.

Don’t be scared to face them. Analyse them.

What you resist persists.

Sitting in your thoughts won’t make you regress it will actually propel you forward much quicker.

This year was meant to be the year, the year that all the ‘work’ I had done on myself finally clicked.

I remember all I kept asking for all year was a ‘new life’… biggest lesson from 2023 - be careful what you wish for 😉

It is in retrospect of having weathered the storm that I see the silver lining.

It WAS the year that everything clicked.

The light shined on all my darkest places, I was forced to face everything I had been avoiding for so many years.

My hope is that these words and the ones to come resonate with you too.

The journey of healing is not linear, but it’s also not impossible. Most importantly it’s worth it.

My wish is that this page helps fulfil my purpose, which is to share my journey and the journey of others in hopes it helps you too.

I hope you feel welcome here, seen, safe and understood.

I am so grateful to be on this journey with you -
The journey back to self ❤️

When you’re feeling anxious or depressed it’s hard to see beyond black and white thinking.

The body is in fight or flight and believes it’s under attack this then creates the spiralling thought process.

It’s important to try to get the body and the mind to a more neutral state so that you can begin to rationalise your thoughts and create space for constructive solutions and a sense of calm.

Meditation can be a great tool but there are many others.
