Shoulder pain? 🙄

At Focussed Physiotherapy we provide passive treatment for pain relief and to increase the mobility of the tissue, then work on stabilising the shoulder by increasing scapula stabilisation, and thera-band external rotation exercises to maximise outcomes.💪🏼

Kinesiology therapeutic tape or
K-tape is used for various soft tissue injuries, sprains/strains, overuse injuries, inflammation and swelling. 😲

We like to use it in clinic a lot for those who are suffering from knee pain - more specifically patella mal-tracking issues. 🤨

K-tape is water resistant and more forgiving for people with sensitive skin, compared to rigid sports tape. 🤙

Calf strain 🤯

✅ Kinesio tape for gastroc offloading, (great support for the calf muscle), and increased blood flow to promote healing.
✅ Dry needling - fine filament needles aimed to increase blood flow, decrease muscular tension, improve pain resulting from myofascial trigger points that lie deep within the tissue.

It is important to have a physio assess the underlying cause to your injury.

Focussed Physiotherapy has formed a relationship with a leading Hills District Knee Orthopaedic surgeon - Dr Bu Balalla. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

This week we were treated with watching Dr Balalla perform multiple knee surgeries including ACL reconstruction, meniscus repairs, and total knee replacements.🦵🏽

Dr Balalla is based in the Hills district. His philosophy is one of constant refinement and excellence in all aspects of a patient’s care. He applies the most up-to-date knowledge of current orthopaedic developments and technology. He is highly regarded in his field and a true gentlemen.

Sitting in on surgery is something Focussed Physiotherapy greatly value in developing knowledge of best-practice surgical techniques and how these might affect your physio rehab.
