Did you know?
The daily requirement of iron for:
- Adult men is 8 mg/day
- Adult women (19-50) is 18 mg/day
- Women +51 is 8 mg/day
Iron rich food includes:
🥩Lean meat, seafood, poultry, and tofu
🥣 Iron-fortified breakfast cereals and breads
🫘 Legumes and beans such as kidney beans, lentils and chickpeas
🌰 Nuts and some dried fruits, such as apricot
👇🏻Here’s some strategies to help you improve your iron intake:

🥣 Breakfast: Opt for iron fortified cereal such as weetbix - add nuts and/or dried fruit
🍲 Lunch/dinner: Choose iron rich food such as eggs on toast OR beans salad OR beef/tofu stirfry - Serve with veggies
🥜 Snacks: Work smarter not harder. Again choose snacks that are a good source of iron. Examples include: canned chickpeas, handful of nuts such as cashews and dried fruit such as apricot, apple with peanut butter.

It is normal...
Our stomach is like a balloon! It expands after we eat! 🎈
It’s normal not to have a flat stomach...
In most cases, It’s normal to feel bloated... Unless it is happening everyday, lasts long and painful. If so, please see a health professional!
Usually, people on social media won’t show you how their stomach looks like after having a big meal. They don’t even show you how bloated they are before or during their period.
So, please don’t compare yourself to others. What you see on social media is just 1% of their lives.
