TAMANA - PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Tamana, our Founder and Principal Physiotherapist at The Empowerment Project, completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Western Sydney University.

Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in the health care industry, in particular within the NDIS. Tamana has worked in the private practice setting, treating musculoskeletal and acute injuries with a special interest in sub-acute rehabilitation. She also gained experience across many different clinical specialities in public Hospitals, primarily providing cardiorespiratory services. Furthermore, Tamana has worked as an Allied Health Manager and clinical educator in the aged care industry, clinically managing aged care homes and Allied Health Staff across NSW. Working across many different physiotherapy settings has equipped her with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Tamana’s beliefs are simple: “If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you”. She understands that not every presentation is the same. Using a person-centred and holistic approach, she takes her time to really understand your story, what is important to you and how other factors in your life may influence your condition. From the initial assessment, an individualised and comprehensive evaluation is developed and Tamana will work collaboratively with you to set goals that support your specific needs. She understands that she is not treating your condition, she is treating a person who needs to be able to take care of their family or a child who wants to simply be able to play with their friends.

Tamana has an undeniable passion for personal development. In her spare time, she also enjoys going to the gym and socialising with friends. She is fluent in English, German and Farsi and can speak some French too, so don’t be shy to teach her another word or two.
