⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review

“Recently, on recommendation from a very close family friend, we engaged the funeral services of the very talented and most wonderful celebrant Bec Jackson.

Bec was incredible right from the beginning process until the very end.

She was gentle, professional, proficient, warm, empathic, understanding, compassionate, understanding, diligent, delightful, detailed and creative.

There is nothing Bec couldn’t do and what is the most saddening time of our lives, was made more bearable and meaningful because of the most beautiful and most precious ceremony that Bec created for us.

Bec is a five star rating and we highly recommend her to anyone who desires an unforgettable, loving, memorable, meaningful and bespoke experience.

Thank you so much beautiful Bec, we couldn’t have done it without you, you are truly authentic, genuine and kind”.

When families take the time to write a review for me in their darkest and saddest moments means the absolute world to me.

I am beyond grateful for their heartfelt words and trusting me with the care of their deeply loved daughter and planning a meaningful farewell. It was a privilege 💗

I’m curious…

What do you think is the concern of non-traditional funeral venues where having the coffin present (not an open coffin) is not permitted.

I’m thinking theatres, wedding venues, parks…

I’d love to know your thoughts, tell me below 👇

Let’s talk about death avoidance

What’s the number one thing you are avoiding when it comes to death and dying…

Is it preparing your legal documentation?

Putting place instructions for your children and/or pets?

Downsizing and giving away items to others?

Let’s discuss and motivate each other to do one small thing in preparing for the inevitable 👇

Rituals are one way of personalising a funeral and burial ceremony…

Would you consider a balloon release, writing letters, floral tribute or sparklers at your funeral service?

How would you create a personalised funeral service?

Listening is a skill… and it’s not a given.

When choosing your Funeral Director find someone who *actually* listens

What does this mean?

🌸 Doesn’t interrupt you, even when there is a long silence

🌸 Seeks to clarify the type of ceremony you want to hold

🌸 Is comfortable with silence

🌸 Allows time for grief responses

🌸 Gently guides decision making

I’d love you to join me on Thursday 11 December at 9:30am to have a thought provoking conversation about Swedish Death Cleaning.

Death Cleaning is not sad. It is a way to be mindful and intentional as you declutter a lifetime of possessions.

Let’s dive in and talk about downsizing (and the feelings attached to it), letting things go, why we should do it throughout our lives and the value of giving treasured items away before you die. Together we will create your “little black book” and “your throw away box”.

As Margareta Magnusson says “learn to free yourself and your family from a lifetime of clutter”.

It’s going to be engaging, fun and inspiring!

Appreciation post

A HEARTFELT thank you to Julie , Sam and Jaqi .celebrant for your exceptional support and care you displayed at my Uncle’s funeral last week.

Your calm, efficient and professional attitude on the day meant I could be with my family knowing everything was being taken care of.

The day went smoothly and this is because of each of you.

You were the BEST colleagues and friends to have by my side on a day that was tough.

The team you choose makes all the difference.

THANK YOU ❤️

My TOP TIP for planning a funeral

Funeral planning can be overwhelming as you wade through your feelings of grief, decision making can feel impossible and then the lack of sleep or the inertia sets in…

Give yourself time to process a different reality.
