Zen Om Yoga Studio offers Western Sydney residents the opportunity to reap the physical and mental benefits of Japanese Yoga. Japanese Yoga is the gentle art of moving our bodies with the seasons. This form of yoga results in improved flexibility, strength and a feeling of wellbeing that comes with understanding how our bodies follow the rhythm of the seasons. Preeti Shah will be your yoga instructor, fitness mentor and spiritual light during your time at Zen Om Yoga Studio. Preeti's interest in health, nutrition, wellbeing and yoga has developed over a period of more than 15 years. Having completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2001, she was the owner and pharmacist of Health Medicos Pharmacy in India from 2001 to 2004. Sparked by her pharmaceutical background and her own practice of yoga, Preeti’s interest in a holistic approach to health, lead to Australia where she studied nutrition and accomplished her certification in Japanese Yoga Teaching. In every moment of stillness, there is a space between thoughts. A gentle pause. A quiet doorway into something deeper. Yoga helps us notice these moments, the silence that lives beneath the noise, the calm that exists even when the mind is full.

Through mindful movement and slow, steady breath, we begin to soften the constant stream of thinking. We learn to rest in awareness rather than reaction. In that pause, we find clarity, and with clarity comes peace.

In every stretch, we release what no longer serves us. In every pause, we make space for clarity to arise.

Yoga brings these two gifts together - fluidity and quiet. As we move mindfully, we awaken the body. As we soften into stillness, we meet the mind with presence. It’s in this balance that we begin to heal, not just physically, but deeply and wholly.

Yoga opens a doorway to quiet exploration. Not to achieve more, but to listen more closely.

It allows us to meet ourselves with honesty, noticing how we move, how we breathe, how we feel without needing to change anything.

This curiosity is not about solving a problem. It’s about being present enough to witness what arises, and gentle enough to stay with it. Each breath becomes a question, each pause an invitation. What do I carry today? What am I ready to release?

Through this practice, we learn that the body holds stories, and the mind holds patterns. With awareness, we begin to soften. To understand.

And perhaps, slowly, to return to ourselves fully.
