Laboratory Sales Development Representative (Entry Level)
About the role
We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Sales Development Representative to join our growing Laboratory Division.
This is a full-time, entry level opportunity ideal for someone looking to build a career in laboratory sales.
You will be responsible for selling and promoting our comprehensive range of laboratory equipment and consumables to Universities, Pathologies, research centres in NSW and international if required. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, provide product demonstrations, handle inquiries and orders, and achieve sales targets. This role is located at our sales office in Norwest, NSW.
Interstate and international travel will be required from time to time.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in laboratory sales, medical sales or a related field preferred but not necessary
• Background as a Lab technician, Medical Science, Biomedical Engineering, etc. preferred but not necessary
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong customer focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs
• Knowledge of laboratory products and equipment, or a willingness to learn
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required
• Must have Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
• Must have Australian Drivers License
The successful applicant will:
• Generate and qualify leads through cold-calling, door knocking, and client referrals
• Promote and sell products within Wishmed's Laboratory portfolio
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
• Visit customers to conduct product presentations and demonstrations
• Prepare quotations and tender submissions for institutional accounts
• Respond to customer enquiries and manage orders
• Conduct market research and assist with sales planning and strategy
• Attain sales targets and contribute towards KPIs
• Attend and represent Wishmed at Laboratory conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions
