“All Indians are my brothers and sisters”, children learn in Indian schools! Together Sath Sath is a humble initiative to bring hope and health for our brothers and sisters struggling with COVID in India.
Together Sath Sath supports our families in India through multiple initiatives:

1) Development of Global Medics 4 COVID platform, where 135 NRI Doctors from across the world volunteer to offer advice and support to hundreds of COVID patients. 24 X7 and Free! Around 7,000 consultations provided in the last one month since launch. We invite you to download Telegram App and follow this link https://t.me/joinchat/VHmr4BPM_VNlYjll to see how the Global Medics are helping COVID patients.

We need to extend the platform to support remote villages that do not have the infrastructure to deal with COVID spread.

2) India lost 748 doctors in the first wave and 400 in the second wave of COVID. Global Medics 4 COVID provide expert mentoring and peer support to the beleaguered doctors and hospitals in India.

3) Providing beds, oxygen and other needs through our fundraising activities.

4) Setting up helpline to Australian Indians and international students.

5) Support special projects for the causes initiated by individuals and organisations.

Some hospitals have managed to increase their infrasctruture capacity multiple times during the second wave. Increasing bed numbers proportionately increases the need for skilled staff. But, it is tough to increase skilled staff at the same rate. On the other hand, a large proportion of staff have turned positive while at work. The remaining healthy doctors are stretched to their limits - physically, mentally, emotionally - they continue to save lives while losing their own family members. They need support!

Only 10% of people need to be hospitalised. But, the other 90% get desperate to get to a hospital at the first symptoms, often because it is so difficult to get hospital beds!

And that panic, in turn, overcrowds the hospitals - denying hospital beds for patients who need it more!

Public panic promotes the pandemic!
