At Uprety Home Care, our Registered Nurses are not just caregivers, they’re wound care specialists committed to keeping people safe, supported, and comfortable in their own homes.

Chronic and complex wounds require more than just dressings. They require clinical precision, ongoing assessment, and compassionate care. That’s why our nurses on the Central Coast undergo continuous training in advanced wound care techniques — including tools like the Triangle of Wound Assessment — to ensure no detail is overlooked.

Whether supporting recovery after surgery, managing pressure injuries, or preventing infection in chronic conditions, we take a holistic approach:
🔹 Thorough wound assessments
🔹 Tailored treatment plans
🔹 Education for clients and families
🔹 Coordination with GPs and allied health professionals

Every wound and every person; is unique. For some, the goal is healing. For others, it’s about maintaining dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

💡 What sets us apart?
A local, community-focused team of nurses who blend clinical excellence with genuine care.

📍 Serving the Central Coast with a wide range of in-home nursing services, including wound care, continence support, PEG/SPC management, and more.

If you or someone you care for needs expert wound care at home, we’re here to help.

Five years. Still hard to believe.

Last Friday, Uprety Home Care turned 5. It’s a big milestone, but more than anything, it’s a moment to stop and say thank you.

To our business partners and consultants, thank you for standing with us, guiding us, and believing in what we’re building.

To our incredible staff and our nurses, you are the heart and soul of this company. You’re the reason our clients feel safe, cared for, and respected. You show up every day with compassion and commitment, and you keep everything moving. You are the engine room of Uprety Home Care.

The love and support shared last week meant so much. We’ve come a long way but this still feels like just the beginning!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Let’s keep going, together.

At Uprety Home Care, our nursing team recently came together for a focused CPD session on one of the most complex challenges in community care: managing wounds that have stalled in the healing process.

Led by our Clinical Manager, Vicki Newman, and Coloplast educator Sheree Madill, the session took a practical, evidence-based look at what works, and why, when standard approaches aren’t enough.

We covered:
🧼 Why cleansing up to 20cm beyond the wound edge matters more than most realise
🩹 How 3D Fit dressings can help control infection and support healing in hard-to-treat wounds
⏳ The value of the “two-week challenge” giving the care plan time to work before making changes
💧 And the long-overdue end of the “let it dry out” myth

This is training is real and practical for nurses working in homes, not hospitals. It's about making sound clinical decisions in unpredictable environments, staying accountable to our clients, and supporting each other to deliver the highest standard of care.

Thank you to every RN who attended, asked questions, and brought their experience into the room. Sessions like this make us stronger, individually and as a team.

Yesterday, our Director Manisha presented at the International Nurses Day seminar hosted by Erica Dilworth. Manisha highlighted Continence Assessment Best Practice and processes, truly showcasing her expertise.

We gained some great insights from Smith+Nephew, mdevices Australia and other fantastic, allied health professionals on the true cost of pressure care and wound managed. MDevices showcased a new innovation in catheter change technology, another great step towards patient comfort and best practices.

It was sobering to learn that 17% of older Australians are malnourished, with 63% at risk.

And of course, a shout out to our Operations Manager, Benjamin Lawrence who came to the rescues when the venues laptop decided to lock us out. No AV. No Problem. Ben rolled in, kept it running, introduced speakers, all with a smile.

We are happy to stand alongside those pushing the boundaries in Nursing Care.
