Good Friday Feeling
No speeches today, just gratitude.
✚ Grateful for our nurses who keep showing up, day after day, bringing skill, calm and care into people’s homes.
✚ Grateful for the families and coordinators who trust us to do our job right.
✚ And grateful to be part of a team that believes good care doesn’t need red tape, just good people.

Wishing everyone a safe, easy long weekend.

💬 Good Feeling Friday: A Quiet Win, a Humble Brag

As part of our Good Feedback Friday, we want to highlight a small moment that says a lot about how our team works.

Earlier this week while our scheduling team was coordinating a Continence Assessment, the team leader mentioned that another resident was awaiting the same service, from another provider; but no-one had reached out to organise the assessment over the last 3 weeks.

Can you guess what they asked?

You're right, "Could Uprety Home Care see the other participant too?"

Our Answer, "Yes of course we can support this person".

15 minutes later a quote was approved
1 hour later the service agreement was consented and signed by the guardian
3 hours later this participant was triaged, allocated and assigned to a report writer.

Before they waited 3 weeks, with Uprety Home care they waited 3 hours.

That is the Urgency and the standard you get when you choose Uprety Home Care.

✨ Good Feedback Friday ✨

This week, one of our clients shared how supported and cared for they felt after a recent visit from our nursing team. They spoke about the knowledge and professionalism shared by this Nurse.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Our Nurses aren’t just providing a service — they’re creating trust, safety, and dignity every single day. They are the true heart and hands of Uprety Home Care. 💙

Have you had an experience where a nurse or support worker made a real difference in your life or the life of someone you love? We’d love to hear your story in the comments below.

Five years. Still hard to believe.

Last Friday, Uprety Home Care turned 5. It’s a big milestone, but more than anything, it’s a moment to stop and say thank you.

To our business partners and consultants, thank you for standing with us, guiding us, and believing in what we’re building.

To our incredible staff and our nurses, you are the heart and soul of this company. You’re the reason our clients feel safe, cared for, and respected. You show up every day with compassion and commitment, and you keep everything moving. You are the engine room of Uprety Home Care.

The love and support shared last week meant so much. We’ve come a long way but this still feels like just the beginning!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Let’s keep going, together.

At Uprety Home Care, our nursing team recently came together for a focused CPD session on one of the most complex challenges in community care: managing wounds that have stalled in the healing process.

Led by our Clinical Manager, Vicki Newman, and Coloplast educator Sheree Madill, the session took a practical, evidence-based look at what works, and why, when standard approaches aren’t enough.

We covered:
🧼 Why cleansing up to 20cm beyond the wound edge matters more than most realise
🩹 How 3D Fit dressings can help control infection and support healing in hard-to-treat wounds
⏳ The value of the “two-week challenge” giving the care plan time to work before making changes
💧 And the long-overdue end of the “let it dry out” myth

This is training is real and practical for nurses working in homes, not hospitals. It's about making sound clinical decisions in unpredictable environments, staying accountable to our clients, and supporting each other to deliver the highest standard of care.

Thank you to every RN who attended, asked questions, and brought their experience into the room. Sessions like this make us stronger, individually and as a team.

A big thank you to our RNs, A, K, and M 🙌, not only for their clinical judgement 🧠 and technical skills 🛠️, but also for the care and compassion they bring into our participants’ homes 🏡, helping them feel comfortable and age gracefully 🌿👵👴.
