✨ The magic of liquid herbs ✨

There’s nothing quite like the magic of herbal medicine. As a naturopath, I have the absolute pleasure of witnessing the incredible power plants have to restore balance and vitality to the body on a daily basis. From calming anxiety with chamomile to boosting immunity with echinacea, each herb has its own set of special gifts to offer 🌱(and unique tastes… IYKYK 🤪)

Herbal medicine isn’t just about treating symptoms—it’s about healing from the inside out and supporting the body’s innate healing capacity and natural ability to thrive 🌸💪

Whilst it’s generally best to consult with a naturopath or herbalist to obtain a bespoke herbal formula catered for your individual needs, there are gentle and easy ways for you to access the healing power of plants through herbal teas, aromatherapy essential oils, and adding herbs and spices into your meals. Some of my faves:

〰️ Chamomile tea to soothe a busy / stressed mind, support sleep, and calm an upset or anxious tummy 🌼

〰️Dandelion root tea to support an over-burdened liver (ie those post Dec vibes 🥂) - a chai version tends to be a bit more palatable 😉

〰️Lavender essential oil for stress, anxiety, insomnia (added to a diffuser or pop some drops on your wrists or pillow) 🧘🏼‍♀️

〰️Adding ginger or turmeric to meals for anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits 🍲

Enjoy your herbies babes! 🌱💚✨

✨FREE NY MEAL PLAN✨

It’s that time again! Judging by the influx of booking requests atm, it is clear there are a lot of people wanting to utilise the energy of the new year to take charge of their health & implement some positive changes to support their health and wellbeing.

Which of course is pretty standard at the beginning of each year - people setting NY intentions and using Jan 1st (or, realistically, Jan 3rd hehe) as their mark to start a new year with a fresh slate. That said, I am also sitting with a lot of people atm struggling to ‘get back on the wagon’ following the holidays, which is also perfectly normal - establishing (or re-establishing) habits can take some work.

To harness the NY ‘get it done’ energy, or to support igniting it if you are struggling with motivation following the holidays, I have put together a FREE 21-day New Year meal prep plan - complete with recipes, shopping lists & nutritional info - to help get the wheels in motion for making some supportive dietary choices & (re-)establishing health-affirming habits.

If you are interested in a copy - head over to my website laurawilsonnaturopath.com.au (link in bio), sign up via the promo pop up box & it will get sent on through to your inbox 📥

Whether it is to support general health, get back into a good routine following the holidays, feeling the after-effects of an indulgent December (which is totally fine btw!), or just looking for some meal inspo, this resource will certainly help.

If you would like further / more specific support to kick-start your 2025 health goals, boost your energy & vitality, or address a specific health condition/s, you can also book a consult via the ‘Services’ tab of my website.

Wishing you all the best in health and a fab year ahead! 💛 x Laura

*Note - meal plan is generalised in nature & contains animal products in some recipes, however substitutions are offered in many of the recipes to support a vegetarian/plant-based diet. 🌱

Hiiiiii my loves - remember me? 💁🏼‍♀️ I knowwwww, it has been a MINUTE since I last posted to the grid (2 years to be exact, eep).

Firstly, to those of you that are still here - thanks for sticking around. In full transparency (& tbh a lil vulnerability), the last couple of years have been pretty challenging for me personally.

Whilst my business has flourished (which I am in FULL gratitude for), my personal life has been full of challenges (aka = deep growth), which has left me with very little time, energy & capacity to show up on here. As I often say to my clients - when we are feeling stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted (or all of the above!), what can we look at dropping off the plate in order to best support ourselves?

For me - it is always social media. I have been very fortunate that SM has not been a necessity to build a busy practice (again - gratitude!), so it’s the natural first thing for me to drop. For other people, it’s dropping down on work hours, events, workout regimes, travel etc. If YOU are feeling overwhelmed atm, what can you drop to take a little more time for yourself / rest / joy?

With all that said, the winds of 2025 feel different for me. Whilst I am now navigating a new set of personal challenges, I feel like the growth of the last few years has strengthened & expanded me in ways that allow me to feel more resourced to show up more outside of my clinical practice. What will this look like? Honestly, right now I don’t know - watch this space 😊

BUT - I DO have some very exciting announcements coming in the next few days (with my personal expansion, so too has come a business expansion), so really DO watch this space 😉

Have a wonderful weekend beauties - enjoy the sunshine and ‘see’ you soon 💛

✨FREE MEAL PLAN OFFER✨

Happy new year my loves! I hope you all had a fabulous festive period, & managed to fill your cups with whatever it was you needed over the holidays ☺️

Judging by the influx of new client bookings flooding my inbox this week, it is clear there are a lot of people wanting to utilise the energy of the new year to take charge of their health & implement some positive changes to support their health and wellbeing.

Which of course is pretty standard at the beginning of each year - the ol’ ‘new year new me’ vibe - though I will say the collective energy of motivation and ‘getting s**t done’ is pretty palpable at the moment (I am feeling it strongly myself!).

To harness this energy, I have put together a FREE 21-day New Year meal plan - complete with recipes, shopping lists & nutritional info - to help get the wheels in motion for making some supportive dietary choices & (re-)establishing health-affirming habits.

Oh hi guys, remember me? 💁🏼‍♀️

I knowwwww, It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted to the grid… In all honesty I have had a YEAR, one of those ‘when it rains it pours’ types, & between my busy clinical practice and supporting myself through a challenging year, I’ve had my hands full & had to wipe the decks of ‘extras’ in order to best support myself - with social media being the first to go. Honestly, I doubt anyone really noticed, but just thought I’d address the elephant in the room🐘

Anyhoo, ya girl is back! And I just wanted to take a minute to write a post of gratitude (consider it a delayed thanksgiving post!).

Firstly, I am really grateful to all of my clients - I know it hasn’t just been me who was challenged to the depths this year, I’ve really seen this reflected in so many of my clients, in various ways and degrees. Watching my clients show up for themselves, commit to their health, wellbeing and growth (in whatever ways they could in any given moment, understanding that this is a sliding, non linear scale!) was incredibly inspiring to me, and made me feel so damn grateful for the work that I do to be able to witness this ongoing testament to human strength and resilience (understanding that sometimes, having a bit of a breakdown - to rebuild on the other side - is part of it!).

Also so grateful to my own personal support team who really showed up for me this year. Working in a field caring for others (and being an Aquarian!), I’ve often struggled to ask for, or receive, care & support from others - in a year where I had no choice, thank you to all of you who showed up when I needed you. You know who you are.

A research article from Harvard University showed “gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness, more positive emotions, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.” - yes, thanks!

So, with that in mind, I invite you to take some time to reflect this week on what you’re grateful for this week/year. Feel free to share in the comments below!

PS stay tuned this week for an exciting announcement… I know ugh classic instagram comment - but seriously you guys, it’s exciting! 💫

Aaaaand that’s a wrap on my clinical practice for 2021 - definitely going out with a bang with my busiest month to date 💥

From my observation, if we, as a collective, gained anything from this year it was an increased awareness of the importance of looking after our health and wellbeing - and I am here for it 🌱

And to speak of 2021... Look, I know everyone’s saying it but what a RIDE that was! Phew - we made it you guys 😅 I am definitely looking forward to the next couple of weeks off to unwind from the year that WAS.

Despite being a year of incredible challenges and ups and downs for us all - for me personally it was a huge year of growth. I was pushed to my edgiest of edges, my absolute depths, and I can now say - on the other side of it - it was the biggest gift that I am extremely grateful for (I assure you I wasn’t saying this at the time).

But I kept showing up for myself. I kept ‘doing all the things’ until the shifts happened, until things felt lighter and easier. And then I kept going, I kept showing up showing up for myself. Because that’s the commitment I made to myself.

I also witnessed this in my clients this year. Everyone has had their own unique set of challenges, but what has inspired me immensely is the way everyone showed up for themselves and committed to their health and well-being to the best of their ability through it all, despite it all. Aren’t humans incredible?? 🤩

So, to all my amazing clients - thank you for trusting me with your health and giving me the honour of supporting you through a bloody big and tough year. It has been an absolute pleasure and I so look forward to supporting you further in 2022.

I’d also like to thank my own team of healers for holding me through this year - as well as my other ‘support team’ of adaptogens, b vitamins, magnesium, meditation and my beloved coastal walk 😁

Sending so much love to you all, stay safe out there and hope you have a wonderful holiday period full of whatever it is that you need (for me it will be rest, nature time, Benny cuddles 🐈‍⬛, long awaited catch ups and binge watching the latest season of Emily in Paris).

Happy festivus and see you in 2022! ✨💛✨

“Health embraces not only the body, but the mind and spirit as well” 〰️ James H. West

The most consistent piece of feedback I receive from my clients is how much they love my holistic approach with naturopathic support.

Honestly, in order to experience truly deep healing & sustainable improvements in our health, I just don’t see there to be any other way.

I absolutely adopt an evidence-based naturopathic approach, meaning that I rely on scientific research to support my treatment plans in terms of diet & lifestyle modifications, appropriate supplementation & herbal medicines.

But this extends to further than just the physical. I am also always looking deeper as to what may be driving underlying weaknesses predisposing us to illness & disease in the first place, further to the physiological factors.

Such as the underlying thought patterns, belief systems and/or prior experiences or trauma that may be holding us back from healing or feeling better. How these might be playing out as energetic blocks in our system that then causes disruption to our physiological processes.

For example, with chronic digestive issues, what unprocessed emotions are being held onto? (We hold ALOT of emotions in our gut). For autoimmune conditions, is there any unresolved trauma or present? (There is a plethora of research showing the association between traumatic stressful events / PTSD & autoimmunity).

I draw upon not only my medical & naturopathic training, but also my training in psychology, counseling & shamanic energy healing to support my clients.

I also often refer to other resources& practitioners to ensure my clients are appropriately supported, I.e. kinesiologists, psychologists, acupuncturists, body workers & works of leaders in mind-body-soul medicine, I.e Dr Joe Dispenza, Louise Hay & Dr Nicole LaPera.

We incorporate meditation, journaling, affirmations & tapping to explore what is going on & reprogram neurologically, alongside comprehensive physical testing & support.

You can explore this at home, & I will aim to post more around what I have shared - but in the meantime if you’re looking for a a practitioner who adopts a fully holistic approach, get in touch x
