Great to get the chance to ride with Darcey and Heath .hotham.resort this week. Check out the video at the end - only managed to get a video when she was going slow - couldn’t keep up when she hit the steep moguls! At Innovo Prosthetics, we love seeing our clients proving that nothing can hold you back. 💪✨ We even managed to make some minor alignment adjustments to her every day leg in the carpark 👍

🤗 Take a look at just some of the beautiful books that have been donated to us by one very Kind Innovo kid Miss Rosie! Having outgrown these very special books she brought them in to be shared. Thank you so much Rosie, you’re a star! 🌟

📚 Coming soon to Innovo will be the Innovo Kids Library, where everyone visiting can choose a book to read, take it home and bring it back at their next visit. Everyone here at Innovo loves to spend time reading, whether it’s together with Mum, Dad, Grandparents, siblings, a friend or alone having quiet time, a good book is hard to beat!

🏍️ Express Yourself!

Here’s a post for all of our bike fanatics of which I know we have many! Innovo client Paul and his wife were recently at the Australian Super Bikes at the QLD Raceway in Willowbank on the 2nd - 4th of May. Paul had the very best pleasure of meeting professional Australian Super Bikes rider Anthony West who then signed Paul’s foot for him. Check out how awesome it looks! 🤩

After he signed, Anthony went on to place 2nd to Glenn Allerton in Race 2 of the SW-MOTECH Superbike race on what Paul said was a very wet track. 🥈

Paul’s wife joked that Paul was born out into the world on a motorbike. His passion was truly sparked when his sister rode bikes back in the 80’s. Speaking with Paul he is a wealth of knowledge in all things motorbikes. He said he prefers a bike any day over a car and there is truly nothing more freer than feeling the fresh air on your face as you ride. 🛣️

💻 You know it’s been a big start to the year when your internet has gone on the blink, it’s taken an early mark for the Easter break, so apologies if you have sent us an email and are waiting for a response. If you urgently need to reach us, we are still contactable by phone until 4 pm today.

🧑🏻‍🦽‍➡️However, I’ve finally had the chance to sit and read this absolutely magical children’s book ‘Felix and his Fantastic Friends’, by Ellie Cole and what a beautiful book it is! I cannot tell you how much this book made my heart sing! As the sister of a brother with cerebral palsy who is a wheelchair user, books like this were missing growing up.

📖 Felix asks his Mum how he can join his classmates to play at school and Mission Friendship begins. A joyous story showing that what makes us different is also what makes us unique and how imaginative play can bring children of every ability together. Thank you so much Ellie, we couldn’t love this book more and so beautifully illustrated by . Can’t wait to see what adventures Felix and his friends take next.

The incredibly brave Mileah took her first steps in her first ever prosthesis this week following her Van Ness Rotationplasty surgery late last year. We are so excited to be apart of Mileah’s journey and can’t wait to see her keep progressing. She is already making incredible progress in such a short time. Her smile says it all! 🦿🤩👏🏻
