It's great to see a doctor in the WA parliament, who understands that va**ng plays a role in smoking cessation. A few points of clarity:
1. Becoming an authorised prescriber takes less than 3 minutes of a doctor's time
2. Australian standard va**ng products exist on prescription databases and the MIMs database - can be prescribed like any other medication.
3. Pharmacists will stock Australian standard prescribed products for same day dispensing.
We think it's important that regardless of the sides point of view, the information provided is accurate and can be supported with facts.
