June 15th
Not a Solstice, eclipse, new moon nor full moon.

This date which is in the middle of the Gemini season and the middle of the month is a time that emotional issues may arise when least expected.

Now emotions in themselves are not bad, they are a great way to
express yourself. Sometimes you just need the tools to help you explore or allow yourself to freely express them. Our Sacred Space in Healing Hearts Home will be combining Shamanic Drumming with Reiki Energy Healing for an intimate group.

In this episode, William interviews the creative and entrepreneurial power house, Monni aka Monni Music aka Monni Travels.

Monni is a Danish Aussie, or, in her own words a “Daussie”. She dropped out of University to pursue her dream of running and owning her own Travel Agency and has had great success with her free spirited and mould breaking way of life. She is also a successful DJ, Singer/Song writer, Videographer, YouTuber and a generally, sustainably and astrologically minded online presence.

Throughout this episode, Monni and William journey through a vast array of topics ranging from Mental Health, being sober as a DJ, following your calling in life and going with the flow, tapping into the energy of the universe that is present in and surrounds us all, sustainability and our connection to the earth, and the challenges and setbacks of stepping into the world as a entrepreneur and going off the beaten track.

Overall, this episode proves insightful and engaging in many different areas with Monnis knowledge and passion for her topics shining through, and, an episode that we are sure to expand upon in future.

Hey Heart Healers,

We are launching an Online Community Support Space for Men this coming Wednesday 14/7/21, 6.00AM Sydney time.

We, as Men, are often overlooked when it comes to our psychological well beings, bearing a lot of pressures and responsibilites that go unnoticed and unexpressed in our world today. And we, as Men, often find it hard to open up and express our problems - ESPECIALLY to other Men, as we often see this as being weak.

This space is by men, for men, to support one another to learn, heal and grow.

If you have a lot on your plate, a lot on your mind, a lot on your shoulders, grab a ticket (which is free OR donation based to cover the cost of running the platforms for the event) and let's see if we can lighten the load.

Why do so many of us live in a state of denial?

Denying our flaws.

Denying our darkness.

Denying the true essence of who we truly are.

We all want to make changes in our lives - big or small.

Maybe you want to change a habit. Maybe you want to change your hair style. Maybe you want to change the way you view yourself.

Change is change.

And we are surrounded by it, our lives are in a constant state of it.

But all too often, we fail to follow through on those changes we want to make. Or we fight back and resist change, because with change comes unknown, and with unknown comes fear, and with fear comes discomfort.

And we don't like fear.

Nor do we like discomfort.

But on the other side of that discomfort and fear, is growth, strength, courage.

A new you.

Are you brave enough to discover that part of yourself?

How many of us resort to using alcohol to deal with our unpleasant emotions and feelings like anxiety?

How often do you find yourself feeling uncomfortable in a social situation and find yourself almost without thinking, reaching for or wanting that all too familiar crutch so many of us rely on?

But, as discussed in our most recent episode of Heal The Hurt, that crutch is just that - a crutch.

And when that crutch is taken away, and you find yourself with no other tools in your toolkit to manage the unpleasantness of what you are now being faced with; Ask yourself, what will you do?

Tune in to our Heal The Hurt PodCast and learn what you can do instead.

Hey Heart Healers,

Episode 2 of our Heal The Hurt PodCast is now online.

In this episode, William interviews his University house mate and study partner, and Healing Hearts main content writer, Cameron (Embracing Discomfort - A Mental Health Blog).

Cameron is a Psychology graduate, who has struggled with anxiety (particular social anxiety) most of his life, leading to many negative and unhealthy behaviour patterns and coping mechanisms. He is a Freelance Writer by trade, writing articles and blogs covering a vast array of topics, for a vast array of businesses online - but has a particular interest in Mental Health and Spirituality writings.

Cammy has also written a book, “Embracing Discomfort: A Guide to Taming The Anxiety Beast”, having drawn deep inspiration from his own struggle and journey to bring this manifestation to life, and it has been published and via Amazon.

Throughout this episode, Cammy and William reflect on their time living and studying together at Uni, and how both were completely oblivious to the others present and/or developing mental health issues - despite learning about the very things that were affecting both.

The conversation progresses to Cameron sharing an insightful recounting of how his social anxiety made his life at university almost impossible, particularly when it came to exams or going to lectures, and being forced into these positions of mandatory interaction with others (a real eye opener for anyone who has never experienced anxiety or social anxiety to a detrimental and debilitating level).

They go on to share the tools they have both utilised and called upon to control, release and manage their anxiety, reflecting on how far they have both came with their mental health since their early days at Uni.

Finally, the conversation comes to a close hitting on Cammys career choice as a Freelance Writer, and the process of him taking the idea to write a book and bringing this idea into reality, ending in getting his work published.
