FND Counselling Psychology Somatic Psychotherapy Functional Neurological Disorder FND Education and Wellbeing Programmes. You can live a good life while managing your condition

I cannot wait for us to begin discovering the absolute YOU beneath what society and family tells you that you are. This takes great courage to step outside of whom you were told you were and into whom you really are. The ground can feel shakey, we may feel a bit nauseous, things we believed to be true may appear false. It makes others uncomfortable and also a bit sad they are not as courageous as you. I am on my own journey of self-discovery and have walked away from all who cannot see the real me or are unwilling to allow new discoveries into their own lives. Learning to be ok with discomfort is the key. As we all know, discomfort with change is followed by delight in the new and exciting (and even dull parts of ) selves.

Anything we need to understand is answered in aloneness ….. good ol meditation 🌟

Great inventor Nikola Tesla promotes meditation as the mother of invention :

“Be alone, that is the secret of invention. Be alone, that is when ideas are born”

💜 And regular aloneness stops us ageing fast💜

How we breath and put our bodies into relax mode controls how fast we age.

Mentall Illness are the words applied to each person we can’t yet understand …

Somatic psychotherapy involves releasing emotions buried within our bodies that may eventually create physical illness if not seen, heard and dissolved.

⭐️ Absolutely no need to find out why they are there ⭐️

If having to call the Ambulance, I’m assured this App can smooth the journey by giving important information when often your symptoms prevent talking.

Given to me by a client this morning who had used it with positive effect 🦋

FND Latest Research 2023

"We demand support of female leadership in the FND community to improve diversity and excellence in the field.
We urge planning and funding for better and more universally available FND treatment services and a universal upskilling of clinicians, so that people with FND can finally receive the treatment they require and deserve."

It seems that FND is not included in the neurological disorders currently covered in medical training.

Mini- naps, of under 30 minutes, have been linked to increased creativity, clearer thinking, and an greater feelings of wellbeing.

It seems NASA pilots take 26minute naps while their co-pilots grab the wheel.

Very smart Dalmation dogs also take mini naps while visiting friends - in between play times.

Should 26 minute naps then be a prescribed formular by the medicos as a solution for cognitive fog, anxiety and the inability to start new projects?

Animals have got it down to a fine art. I say we follow suit.

ps. The happiness link to short naps is by Prof Richard Wiseman and I've been unable as yet to locate the original publication.

We are each unique! No set formula describes how we should or could be.

After the sudden loss of my most beloved big boy Dal (a part of my heart - and the only male I’ve deeply adored), finally I can speak of him without bawling loudly 😭

Now I’m in fear that my girl Dal will become ill and I could lose her as well 😳.
Purely selfish fear focussed on my feelings only.

I watch her closely (as parents often do with a newborn) for signs she is not well.

Please throw away those official “Stages of Grief!!”

As a 30yr practitioner I’ve yet to see grief unfold in a similar way for anyone.

For me, the deepest sadness followed by very real fear of further loss. No anger, no denial, etc.

We are each unique and no set formula can describe our experiences. You are completely right however you’re feeling right
