3 places you didn’t know you could do breathwork 🫁

In the car. At night. Before something that scares you.

1️⃣ Heavy traffic → coherence breathing (6 breaths/min) switches off the fight-or-flight response driving quietly triggers. You arrive calmer than when you left.

2️⃣ 3am wake-up → your body isn’t broken. It’s just activated. Longer exhales lower your heart rate so sleep can find you again.

3️⃣ First day / big deadline → nasal breath gives your nervous system a rhythm it can trust. It signals safety to your brain and activates the vagus nerve, the source of that calm feeling.

Grief doesn’t only live in the mind.
It lives in the body.
In the tight chest.
The lump in the throat.
The exhaustion.
The nervous system constantly bracing for something that’s already happened. 🤍

This is why breathwork can be so powerful in the integration of loss and heartbreak.

Conscious breathing helps regulate the nervous system, soften survival responses, increase oxygen flow through the body, and create safety around emotions that may have felt too overwhelming to fully process. The breath becomes an anchor … helping the body slowly move from contraction into connection.

Sometimes we don’t need to “move on.”
We need space to breathe with what’s here.

To cry without collapsing.
To remember without drowning.
To honour love without losing ourselves inside the ache.

Healing is not forgetting.
Integration is learning how to hold both grief and life in the same breath.

Your body was never meant to carry pain alone.

Breathwork is like power-washing the mental fog off your windshield: a few steady breaths, and the noise thins out, your focus sharpens, and the next step feels obvious again. It doesn’t fix everything, but it can clear your head fast enough to move forward.

If you feel tired after doing healing work, it doesn’t mean you’re regressing. It often means your mind and body are integrating what you released, learned, or faced. Rest is not a detour from progress - it’s part of the process. Take the slower pace with respect; you’re rebuilding from the inside out.
