There is so much to celebrate at RFBI Leeton Masonic Village! 🥳

First, we are thrilled to officially welcome our new General Manager, Rebecca Burgess! Rebecca joined us with over 16 years of experience She is already making a wonderful difference in the lives of our residents and staff.

“It’s a privilege to be part of each resident’s journey and to work alongside such a dedicated team,” Rebecca shares.

We are also excited to announce that we’ve received approval to increase our village capacity.

Following recent legislative changes, we can now occupy four additional rooms, taking us from 46 to 50 beds. This means we can support even more local seniors from the Leeton community, helping them stay close to home and loved ones. ❤️

We love a good celebration and we’ve had plenty of reason to cheer at RFBI Concord Community Village! We hosted a wonderful joint birthday party for some of our amazing residents and staff who celebrated another year around the sun. 🎉

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Debbie, one of our newest but already much-loved volunteers at RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village. 🌟

Debbie joined us just five weeks ago, bringing with her a wealth of experience from a long and dedicated career in health. Having spent her life caring for others, Debbie decided she wanted to give back to her local community in a way that truly makes a difference - and we are so glad she chose us! 🙌

In just over a month, Debbie has already launched a Monday Ladies Group, which has become an absolute highlight of the week for the residents.

When she’s not brightening up the village, Debbie is a devoted family woman. Her grandchildren are the light of her life, and she loves nothing more than heading off on a well-earned holiday. ✈️👵

Debbie, your warmth and passion are already making such a positive impact. We are so lucky to have you!

🐞❤️ Spreading the love in RFBI Cessnock Masonic Village!

Residents have been getting creative this, making their own adorable love bugs in a fun-filled craft session.

With plenty of laughter, colour and imagination, each handmade bug turned out just as unique as its creator! Now proudly displayed around the village, these little love bugs are brightening everyone’s day.

Last Friday, our memory support unit at RFBI Concord Community Village was filled with colour and smiles! Residents took part in a special art activity, pressing paint-covered hands onto paper to create beautiful heart-in-hand artworks. 🖐️❤️

These prints represent more than just paint on paper - they are symbols of the unique lives, memories and individuality of each resident.

Seeing the joy and pride on everyone's faces as they showed off their work was the best part of the day. It’s a wonderful reminder that our community is built on connection, creativity and celebrating the person behind the hand.

RFBI Concord Community Village celebrated the Year of the Horse in style as part of our Travel the World program. Residents enjoyed a gourmet Chinese, fine dining experience, complete with a surprise visit from the God of Wealth to ensure a year of good fortune for everyone! 💰👺

The afternoon was topped off with a stunning live performance of the guzheng and erhu. The beautiful, traditional melodies had everyone captivated. 🎶

It was so special to have the residents, staff and leadership team all come together to celebrate diversity and friendship. May the Year of the Horse bring strength and joy to our entire RFBI family! 🐎❤️

"It’s not just a postcard; it’s a bridge between generations." ❤️✨

We are so proud to share the story of Postcards of Connection! Residents in RFBI Raleigh Urunga Masonic Village teamed up with students from Bellingen High School and the talented art therapists at Happymess Studio for a very special 7-week project. 🎨🤝

Through the simple act of making and exchanging postcards, residents and local students discovered just how much they have in common. There were stories shared, laughs had and some truly beautiful art created.
The best part? The heart-warming friendships formed and the creativity sparked between the young and the young-at-heart.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this grant-funded project possible. It truly shows that our villages are part of much bigger, wonderful communities.

Who says you need a plane ticket to see the world? ✈️

Residents in RFBI Cessnock Masonic Village recently took a trip to Italy! Inspired by the Winter Olympics taking place in the Italian Alps, we decided to do an armchair travel adventure to explore everything this beautiful country has to offer. 🏔️🍕

From the snowy mountains to the historic streets of Rome, it was a morning filled with stories, culture and plenty of "Bellisimo!" moments. It’s a wonderful reminder that you’re never too old for a new adventure or to learn something new.

We are so fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy and heart to our communities - and Leonie is one of those very special people.

Leonie first became involved at our RFBI Basin View Masonic Village when she brought her mother up from Melbourne to live in the village, wanting to be closer to her. With her sister-in-law also living here at the time, Leonie quickly became part of the fabric of our community. More than 15 years later, she remains a valued and much-loved volunteer.

Leonie supports our Leisure & Lifestyle team across house activities and bus outings, is an active member of the RFBI Basin View Masonic Village Auxiliary and volunteers every Monday and Tuesday morning - always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

Every fortnight, she also runs the Auxiliary kiosk trolley, visiting residents throughout the village with a friendly smile and a warm chat, offering small items for purchase and creating meaningful moments of connection along the way.

Leonie’s commitment and dedication have helped her form beautiful bonds with residents, families and staff alike, and that connection is at the very heart of what volunteering is all about.

From all of us at RFBI Basin View, thank you Leonie, for your generosity, kindness and unwavering support. Our village is brighter because of you. 🌟

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Rhonda Rains, our new Clinical Care Manager in RFBI Armidale Masonic Village. Rhonda joined us in October and has settled in so quickly it feels like she’s always been here!

Rhonda brings over 15 years of nursing experience to the village, with a huge heart for person-centred care. She’s also an expert in infection prevention and is currently studying to become a certified trainer and assessor so she can mentor and grow our amazing care team. 📚💪

Rhonda was drawn to RFBI after hearing great things about our workplace and we are so glad she decided to join us.

A little-known fact about Rhonda? Outside of work, she loves weekend brunches and is a very proud dachshund owner (honestly, what more needs to be said? 🐾❤️).
