Residents in RFBI Dubbo Masonic Village have been making the most of the sunshine with trips all over town.

Albie enjoyed a brew and a chat at Devil Hollow Brewery, while our zoo crew (looking very cool in their sunnies!) had a wild time spotting animals. 🦒

Special shout-out to Anne for enjoying the best seat in the house on the bus with a pink milkshake for the trip! 🥤💖

What an incredible afternoon of talent and tradition! 🌟

We were delighted to recently welcome the Rhodes Multicultural Community Association to RFBI Concord Masonic Village for a performance we won't soon forget.

Every single performer was aged 65 and above and they absolutely amazed us with their energy and grace! From the beauty of traditional Chinese dances and elegant fashion to the infectious beat of Latin rhythms, our community hall was alive with culture and colour. 🏮👗🎶

Seeing these active seniors share their passions with our residents was a beautiful reminder that joy and creativity truly have no age limit.

A massive thank you to all the performers for such a wonderful visit! ❤️🙌

Is it too early for a second round? 🥭🍍🍓

We’re throwing back to the fun we had at the Great Moonbi Bake Off at RFBI Moonbi Masonic Village! The flour may have settled, but we’re still talking about those delicious scones. 😋

Beyond the friendly rivalry between Team Mango, Team Pineapple and Team Strawberry, the best part of the day was seeing everyone come together to enjoy the fruits of the teams' labour with a massive afternoon tea. ☕🍓

A huge thank you again to our star bakers and our resident judges. You’ve definitely set the bar high for our next village challenge! 🏆🙌

We were so touched to host a special bridal shower recently for one of our wonderful Registered Nurses in RFBI Kurri Kurri Masonic Village. Residents and staff came together to celebrate her upcoming big day with plenty of tea, delicious treats and a few expert marriage tips from residents! 🍰☕

Wishing our bride-to-be a lifetime of love and happiness as she starts this exciting new chapter! 🥂👰‍♀️

Residents across RFBI’s villages enjoyed getting creative in the lead up to and over the Easter long weekend.

In RFBI Tamworth Masonic Village residents participated in a range of hands-on activities. From decorating their own bags to designing and icing biscuits, the focus was on creativity, self-expression and having fun.

It was lovely to see residents sharing stories, laughing together and taking pride in their creations, whilst enjoying the Easter festivities.

What a weekend! From the coast to the country, our RFBI Masonic Villages were buzzing with Easter joy over the long weekend. 🌸✨

Whether it was a high-stakes Easter egg hunt in the gardens, festive morning teas with freshly baked hot cross buns, or some truly creative Easter crafts, the spirit of the celebration was everywhere! 👒🥯

From the Mid North Coast to the Central West, ACT and everywhere in between, our RFBI communities have been buzzing with energy. Whether it’s a friendly Bake Off competition, a musical morning out, a fine or traditional dining experience, a creative session in our Memory Support Units or celebration of a national or global event, our residents have been making the most of every moment. 🧁🎶🖌️

We love seeing these smiles every day - it’s what makes our villages feel like home!

The residents and our teams have been busy getting everything ready for the celebrations - from hand-painting eggs and other Easter crafts to the unmistakable scent of hot cross buns wafting from the kitchen, the festive spirit is well and truly here. 🍫

For April Fool’s Day the team decided it was time to turn the tables on our resident pranker, Greg. Greg is usually the one pulling the strings, so today the team showed up to work dressed entirely as... Greg! ✨

It’s all in the spirit of fun and a testament to the wonderful bond our team shares.

"Volunteering at RFBI isn't just something I do... it’s a way of making people feel at home." 🏡✨

Today for our Take a Moment With... series, we are chatting with Kevin from RFBI Glen Innes Masonic Village. Kevin isn't a new face around here - in fact, you might recognise him or his wife, our wonderful Care Manager!

After a career as a maintenance professional in aged care, Kevin knew he couldn't just sit still once he retired. He missed the residents, the chats and the feeling of making a difference.

"Every leaky tap I fixed wasn't just a job ticked off a list - it was a way of showing the residents that someone cared about their space," Kevin shares.

Now as a volunteer, Kevin continues to bring that same heart to our village. He’s traded his tool belt for even more time spent building friendships and ensuring residents feel like they truly belong. 🤝❤️

“Volunteering has given me more than I ever expected. It's given me friendships, purpose, and the joy of making a difference - no matter how small. Being part of the RFBI community feels like coming home, and I'm proud to do my part in helping our residents feel that same sense of belonging and care every day,” Kevin said.

Kevin, thank you for being such an important part of our village family!
