Dementia Action Week 2025 – 15 to 21 September

At Australian Carers, we know that living with dementia – or caring for someone who does – can be challenging. This Dementia Action Week, the theme “Nobody Can Do It Alone” reminds us that support, understanding, and connection are vital.

Almost half a million Australians are living with dementia, and 70% live in the community, not residential care. With the right support, people with dementia can continue to live active, engaged, and fulfilling lives.

For those under 65 with younger onset dementia, the NDIS can help with daily living, community participation, and achieving personal goals.
