Today is World Mental Health Day, a day we need to stand in solidarity to help people impacted by mental illness and su***de.

As you may know, this month I am walking 60km in One Foot Forward for the 1 in 5 people who experience symptoms of mental illness every year.

So today, I'm asking for your support to make the biggest impact possible on World Mental Health Day to help show them they are not alone.

• Griefline – a free national helpline offering confidential telephone counselling (7 days a week, 6am to midnight) 1300 845 745

• StandBy – Support after Su***de – provides Australia wide support services to those bereaved or impacted by su***de standbysupport.com.au

Sadly, 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of mental illness each year. In fact, every day in Australia, 8 people will die from su***de.

This October, I’ll be walking 60km in One Foot Forward to show people living with mental illness that they are not alone.

My goal is to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute to support crucial mental health research and support services to help Australians impacted by metal illness and su***de.
