CONSISTENCY IN HOLIDAYS: INCREASED NUMERACY SUPPORT AVAILABILITY
Our educator Kate will have increased availability for high frequency numeracy support sessions over the holiday period.
This is a perfect opportunity to catch up on any skills missed in previous years and to strengthen foundational skills before new content is introduced next year.
Sessions will still be 1:1 and individualised to meet the child where they are at and to help them get where they want to be.
A goal of these high frequency numeracy support sessions is also to assist in maintaining consistency and routine over the holiday period, which can be particularly helpful for neurodivergent families. This can help ease the transition into the new school year, reduce academic anxieties and increase confidence.
In addition to numeracy skills, Kate can also support young people wanting to build strong foundational skills (including the 8 areas of executive function) such as:
• reading a timetable
• note-taking and revision study methods
• creating and following a schedule
• recognising complex tasks and breaking them down into manageable steps
• identifying priority tasks and due dates
• understanding and advocating for their own learning needs
Session frequency and duration is flexible and dependent on your child’s needs. Kate has availability for sessions to be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am-6pm.
Send an enquiry through to organise a free 15-minute call to discuss how we can best support your child.
