Diabetes Hub Multicultural Australia-Not For Profit 2 million Australians have diabetes and out of that half a million people don't know they have it. It's FREE programs are not limited to diabetes.

Lack of awareness and proper education is largely to be blamed. To address that Diabetes Hub Multicultural Australia has been created. *Diabetes Hub Multicultural Australia* is a not-for-profit organisation. It includes prevention of other lifestyle-related diseases such as:

🔷 Mental health etc. Our Mission and Purpose:

The mission and purpose of Diabetes Hub Multicultural Australia is to prevent diabetes and its devastating health complications with free education and programs to promote a healthy lifestyle. In the process, we can also help prevent other lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, many forms of cancer, gastrointestinal diseases, inflammatory diseases etc. Our Activities and Programs:

We have many programs to promote good physical and mental health and to identify people at risk. These include online and offline exercise programs, healthy diet programs, weight loss programs, diabetes forums, blood sugar screening for early detection of diabetes, mental health forums, walkathons and much more. In the past 9 months since our inception, our education campaigns have reached over 300+ thousand people on Facebook.

"This brief highlights strong evidence suggesting high intakes of fruit, vegetables, fish, and whole grains may reduce depression risk."

"People who follow a Mediterranean-style diet, or a diet that includes fruit, vegetables, fish, and whole grains, have approximately a 30% reduction in the risk of developing depression."

Meanwhile, consuming a poor-quality diet that is high in processed meats, carbohydrates and other inflammatory foods including alcohol and trans fats, is linked to higher rates of depression."
