Los anticonceptivos hormonales no son “solo anticoncepción”.

Influyen en el cerebro, el intestino, el sistema de estrés y el estado nutricional.

Se han asociado con niveles más bajos de:
B6, B12, folato, magnesio, zinc, selenio, vitamina C y vitamina E.

También pueden afectar el eje HPA *— el sistema hipotálamo-hipófisis-adrenal que regula el estrés y el cortisol.

A mí me recetaron la pastilla a los 12 años para “arreglar” mis hormonas.
No arregló nada.
Me desconectó de mi cuerpo.

Voy a compartir esa historia pronto.

Esto no es anti-pastilla.
Es a favor de una decisión informada.

Hormonal birth control isn’t “just contraception.”
It influences the brain, the gut, the stress system and nutrient status.

It’s been associated with lower levels of:
B6, B12, folate, magnesium, zinc, selenium, vitamin C and E.

It can also affect the HPA axis — the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal system that regulates stress and cortisol.

I was prescribed the pill at 12 to “fix” my hormones.
It didn’t fix anything.
It disconnected me from my body.
I’ll share that story soon.
This isn’t anti pill.
It’s pro informed choice.

A new UNSW study found 31 different PFAS chemicals in Sydney tap water — including one never seen before in drinking water anywhere.
Meanwhile, the NSW Government says our water “meets the guidelines.”

Here’s the problem:
Just because something is within limits… doesn’t mean it’s harmless.

PFAS are man-made “forever chemicals” — used in nonstick pans, packaging, and waterproof gear.

They don’t break down. They build up — in the body, and over time.

This isn’t about panic. It’s about power.

Most people don’t fail at nutrition.

They follow advice that was never built for them.
Guidelines are designed for populations, not individuals.

They don’t account for digestion, stress load, hormonal health, or metabolic differences.
Take dairy, for example.

It’s recommended as a “healthy” food, yet for many people it triggers bloating, inflammation, skin issues, or gut symptoms.

That’s why doing everything “right” can still feel wrong.

The food pyramid can offer structure.
It can’t offer context.
And context is where health actually happens.

Use it as a reference.
Not a rulebook.

Before setting intentions, goals, or routines for 2026, it’s worth understanding the environment we’re living in.

Everything is instant.
Effortless.
Convenient.

And while that looks good on paper, the brain needs friction to feel reward.

This isn’t about doing less or rejecting modern life.
It’s about realising that constant stimulation flattens experience.

If 2025 felt confusing, unfocused, or disconnected,
don’t rush to fix yourself.

Fix the conditions.

La mayoría de las mujeres intenta equilibrar sus hormonas y sanar su intestino con dieta y suplementos…
Pero si tu sueño está desregulado, tu cuerpo sigue en modo supervivencia.
Estos hábitos de higiene del sueño ayudan a:
✔️ equilibrar el cortisol
✔️ reparar el intestino
✔️ lograr un descanso profundo que favorece la sanación hormonal
Empezá con uno solo esta noche.
