Creating a new home for meant building in the middle of a working day.

Consult rooms and a treatment space were completed while the practice continued to see patients, and it all unfolded seamlessly.

For Dr Cindy Wong and her team, handing the reins to Akord meant they could keep their focus where it mattered: on their patients. We kept the timeline tight, the communication clear, and worked around their schedule—before hours, after hours—whatever it took to make it feel seamless.

The result? A beautiful, functional space

Relocating a medical practice can be an overwhelming decision, with so many variables and so much at stake. For Dr Jaspree, the turning point came when he decided to hand over those uncertainties to someone who’d walked this path many times before.

has been supporting the Randwick community for over 20 years, and recently, they were ready to open the doors to something new.

This second location was more than an expansion. It was a chance to reimagine the experience for both patients and practitioners, starting with the space itself.

We worked closely with the team to shape an environment that feels calm, soft, and grounded. A place where people can feel safe enough to talk about difficult things and where psychologists can do their work without noise, clutter, or compromise.

There’s light, air, privacy. There’s intention behind every curve and corner. And most importantly, there’s a sense of ease from the moment you walk in.

Some spaces hold more than just square metres; they hold potential.

At Mona Vale Doctors, every inch was considered, every corner given purpose. What began as a compact clinic now breathes with light and function, thanks to a design that listens before it speaks.

We worked with the existing courtyard, lush with palms and flooded with natural light, and opened up four new consultation rooms to face it. Now, the practice flows with fresh air and natural light. A place where patients and practitioners alike can feel a little more at ease.

At Akord Projects, we believe design is about more than making space. It’s about making it matter.

Our latest Psychology Fitout Project

A full fitout takes time. And in that time, things shift, ideas evolve, new opportunities appear, and sometimes, the best features are the ones you never planned for.

Take the arches at Dental Sleep & TMJ Therapy. They weren’t part of the original drawings. But partway through the build, we saw a moment to introduce them with no changes to the budget, just a shift in perspective. Now, they’re one of the most loved elements of the space.

Design doesn’t always follow the script. And that’s what makes it exciting. Sometimes, the most beautiful parts of a project appear when you’re not looking for them and you just know they belong.

What made Ponti Health so special wasn’t just the design decisions. It was the sense of shared purpose that unfolded throughout the project.

At Ponti Health , that trust ran deep. From day one, there was a shared language — spoken and unspoken — that allowed us to understand what mattered most.

Together, we built something that wasn’t just functional or elegant, but deeply aligned with a purpose: to create a space for women that feels thoughtful, calming, and powerful in its own quiet way.

For nearly three decades, @ cared for its community from one of Australia’s last remaining cottage clinics, a warm, familiar space where the relationships were just as enduring as the setting.

But as the community grew, so did the need for something more.

We helped the team move into a new space, one designed not just to hold more patients, but to reflect the kind of care they’re known for, without letting go of where they came from.

Warm timber, soft greens, and photos of their original cottage now hang across the new practice; quiet reminders of the place that shaped their story.

Calm. Natural. Thoughtfully modern. A new chapter that still feels like home.
