At Optimum Health Solutions, we believe that every person - regardless of where they live or the challenges they face - deserves access to high-quality, consistent, and compassionate care.
The NDIS was built on a powerful promise: to give people with disability more choice, more control, and more opportunity. And for many, it has delivered. But behind the scenes, the system is under pressure - and that pressure is starting to impact the very people it was designed to support.
For years, the funding model for allied health services under the NDIS has remained frozen - and in some cases, cut. Meanwhile, the cost of living has surged. Wages have gone up. Rent, fuel, insurance, training, and compliance costs have all increased. Yet the price limits for delivering essential care have stayed the same - or even gone backwards.
This isn’t just unsustainable. It’s unfair.
It’s unfair to the providers who are expected to absorb rising costs without support. It’s unfair to the workforce who are being stretched thin. And most of all, it’s unfair to the participants who are losing access to trusted services because the system no longer supports those who support them.
This isn’t about profit. It’s about people.
It’s about the participant in a rural town who can’t access therapy because the local clinic had to close. It’s about the family who built trust with a provider, only to lose them due to unsustainable funding. It’s about the thousands of Australians who rely on the NDIS to live with dignity, independence, and hope.
We’re proud to stand by our participants.
But we can’t do it alone.
If you’re a participant, a family member, or a support coordinator - your voice matters. Let the NDIA and your local representatives know that you value your providers. That you want a system that reflects the real cost of care. That you want a future where participants don’t just survive - but thrive.
Because when providers are strong, participants flourish. And that’s the future we’re committed to building - together.
