Hey everyone,

In today's western world, it's easy to get caught up in prioritising everyone else —whether it's family or work. But remember, taking care of yourself is not a selfish act it's both important and critical to your wellbeing.

Finding a balance between nurturing your loved ones, excelling at work, and prioritising your own needs can be challenging. However, it's crucial for maintaining your emotional and physical health and happiness.

Here are a few tips to help you prioritise your own needs in a balanced way:

1. Schedule Self-Care: Make time for activities that recharge your batteries, whether it's reading, exercising, or simply taking a relaxing bath.
2. Set Boundaries: Learn to say "no" when necessary. It's okay to set limits at work and with family to protect your time and energy.
3. Communicate Openly: Talk to your family and colleagues about your needs. They might be more understanding than you think!
4. Practice Mindfulness: Take a few moments each day to focus on your breath and calm your mind.

By prioritising your own needs, you'll become a better version of yourself for everyone around you. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup!

Are you Living in your Activewear?

Did you know your favourite workout clothes could be exposing you to harmful microplastics? Synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon release microplastics, especially when you sweat. These particles can enter your body through the pores in your skin, carrying toxins like BPA, which are linked to hormonal disruptions, obesity, and more.

What can you do about it?

• Transition into wearing natural fiber blends when possible, such as organic cotton, wool, linen and bamboo.
• Stop hanging out in your activewear: change out of sweaty activewear immediately after exercising.
• Wash clothes in cold water and use filters to reduce microfiber shedding.
