We are affiliated with UNSW's Medical Student Society and work to host and promote Psychiatry content Welcome to the official page for UNSW Psychiatry Society.

UNSW Psychiatry Society is a SIG (Significant Interest Group) affiliated with the UNSW Medical Students Society (MedSoc) at the University of New South Wales. We aim to promote, facilitate and consolidate learning within the spectrum of psychiatric medicine for UNSW medical students. Throughout the year, we will be holding several psychiatric-based clinical skills sessions, specialty pathway information sessions and also explore the application of psychiatry in future medical practice! To a lesser extent, we will also be working with MedSoc to destigmatise mental illness and create a general medical student understanding of maintaining good mental health hygiene. Fill in the form to get involved in monthly academic series and join the Australian chapter of an International Fulbright program led by Dr Anita Kishore from Stanford University, US. ✍️
It is a program for medical students interested in child psychiatry, providing opportunity to link to Dr Kishore’s child psychiatry class and present your work conducted with your child psychiatry mentor at the annual conference held in US etc. 🗣️
Fulbright will also organise local activities as part of this program. We look forward to hearing from you!✨✨

UNSW Psychiatry Society is a SIG (Special Interest Group) affiliated with the Medical Society (MedSoc) at the University of New South Wales. We aim to promote, facilitate and consolidate learning about Psychiatry for UNSW medical students. Throughout the year, we hold psychiatry-based clinical skills workshops and specialty pathway information sessions for our medical students. We also act as a medium through which other Psychiatry education initiatives may raise awareness about Psychiatry within the medical student demographic. To a lesser extent, we work with UNSW MedSoc to destigmatise psychiatric disorders and strengthen medical student understanding of mental health, for both our future patients and ourselves.
