UNSW's annual forensic and clinical psychology conference is coming up soon on 22 October! This would be a great opportunity for anyone interested in post-graduate psychology at UNSW to learn more about what the programs on offer entail - namely, the kind of research that students undertake as a part of the programs.

Attendance is free but delegates must register via the Eventbrite link below:

Thank you to everyone who attended the information event last night! For anyone who was unable to attend, or even if you did attend, please feel free to reach out to me (a.r.wisken@student.unsw.edu.au) for a copy of the slides or to ask any questions 🙂

Additionally, I'll be organising an event for the end of September at which you'll have an opportunity to ask further questions about the program. It will be a demonstration, delivered by current students, of some of the skills from the 'Family Connections' group that students facilitate as a part of their training. 'Family Connections' is a skills-based psychoeducation and support group the UFPC runs for the relatives of people with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Let me know if you'd like to be on the mailing list for this event!

This is especially important now, when many supportive services are unable to remain open. Stay safe and look after yourselves everybody!

Keeping in touch with friends and loved ones is just one of several self-care activities that you can do from home. Even if an in-person catch-up is off the table, try to stay in touch with your support network via text, FaceTime, or a good old-fashioned phone call. Ask them how they’re feeling and share your own experience if you feel safe to do so.

Visit bb.org.au/3eEbwyk to read about the other ways you can take care of yourself during lockdown.
