Here are a few reasons why your progress may have stalled:

1. You haven't opened you bowels... has have you gone a day or more since you last opened your bowels? This may be a reason why that number on the scales hasn't gone down.
2. You have gained muscle and lost fat mass. There are other indicators to signal that this has happened, do your clothes feel looser or is your waist a little smaller?
3. You weighed yourself after a meal, resulting in a temporary weight increase
4. You have eaten a high salt meal. Sodium binds to water and results in retention in your body with a higher scale number.

Short answer: No, you don’t have to cut carbs to lose weight.
